I've got an iPad. I'm not sure what to do with it.
What apps and stuff should I get.
of a football fan, at a Premier League ground, probably paid £50 for his ticket, watching a different Premier League game on his iPad.
but the most important thing to remember is too always delete the little 'Sent from my iPad' signature which automatically appears at the bottom of your emails. Otherwise you'll look a right twat.
Don't watch TV on the train and then have a little cry about everyone thinking you're a wanker to the letters page of the Metro, you wanker
Don't get one of those stupid covers that makes it look like a book so that you don't get mugged as quickly when you're parading it around, you wanker
it completely and utterly defines you. As such you deserve to burn for eternity in a ball of molten faeces.
(Drop7 and Zoo Keeper)
- Nozbe (if you do project management stuff)
Don't play many games on it, but Repulze is good (F-Zero/Wipeout clone) and there's a few Katamari games. Yeah.
Take photos with them.
think i've lost track of how many threads there have been where people have said "i've got an ipad, what's it for?"
it's for bejewelled blitz as far as i can tell
so what used to be this
is now being done with an ipad at stuff like blizzcon and MLG. i can't find a picture as proof though. but it does happen.
So yeah, I have a £500 Internet machine, but my family wanted to get me something nice for my birthday and now I can use FaceTime to talk to them.
They're actually really good. I never take mine out the house though, people do look like dicks with them on the train. I use mine like I used to use my laptop, for Internet browsing, spotify sending emails, Skype, reading news etc. it's easy and functions well.
I'd recommend flipboard. It basically aggregates all your favourite websites, your Facebook, twitter feed etc. into one magazine so you can daily access everything. There are a few apps like this but IMO flipboard works and looks best,
I use my mini for watching TV, as an eReader, Spotify & general surfing and knew I wanted it for that before I bought it. I take it on holiday with me because it's lighter than my laptop (& I have a Bluetooth keyboard). It fits in my bag easily and I read the Metro and Evening Standard on it on the tube to work (no more dirty newsprint).
i've seen a lot of threads like this
Dropbox / Skydrive etc
Block vs Block (Tetris)
Downloads HD (don't bother with any other download app)
Also the Metro app.
splashtop remote, lets you connect to other pcs/laptops
av player hd, lets me watch films/tv series ive downloaded
civ rev, simplified civ game
BT wifi, shows me where free wi fi hotspots are
testflight, lets me download beta versions of games to test
rebirth, roland 909 and 303 music making fun
garageband, music making fun
newstand, read the wire magazine
grand theft auto china town wars, good game
my fitness pal, calorie/exercise counter/calculator
Such a good app if you download films etc.
and the only thing anyone could get to eat/drink for the first few hours of the fest was a free jaeger shot delivered through a test tube by a 'sexy girl' ?
I found guys with beers on their backs during those frightful first hours, but they were more expensive than the actual bar prices! Shocking.
My wife did this and through some weird Apple trying-to-be-helpful-but-only-in-the-world-where-everyone-has-Apple-Products way, her friends' iPhones found out she had iMessage and unilaterally decided to reroute all text messages sent to her phone to go instead to iMessage, because it's free.
Let's not consider how many free texts we all have now. I guess it's a pretty sweet option if you both have an iPhone and texts are loads of money but data is free, but in this instance it just meant a bunch of texts to her were only on her iPad.
Sent from my ipad
Oooops. Looks like your family bought you a knock off cheap counterfeit from the market. Expect the battery to explode in a week or two.
