and i DO NOT LIKE the creepy one in my bedroom that's carved into the stone wall and is too dark to see the top of and apparently leads to nowhere/a pile of bones/screaming terror. i don't really want to find out and never will (hopefully)
it'd be an achievement in itself if building control bothered to dignify the warrant application with a formal response pointing out the numerous ways they contravene the regs, rather than just piss themselves themselves laughing and return the plans and spec with a big red line through.
wonder how many people ended up falling down them from jumping around too much? :D
They would be relatively easy to install - and cheap.
Not the safest though, obviously.
Had a great staircase.
You ended up feeling like you had one leg longer than the other though.
History books were all on the third floor and the stairs needed one and a half steps to get up so you always ended up doing a gangster rap style limp up them. And if you tried to go faster it always felt like you were going to fall over
But 3 years of limping up and down them every day has soured my opinion of them.
The stairs at Livraria lello in Porto are amazing.
Managed to cheekily take this without the guy whose sole job to stop people taking photos shouted at me.
It properly looks like Hogwarts in there
