most underrated comedy of our time?
But one of the most sneered-at broad sitcoms of our time by 'aficinados' who think having boxsets of NBC sitcoms means they have a superior palette to others.
because its ridiculously obvious, every other line is a shhit pun/gag but they all know it, theres somethin infectious about it.
plus every episode has a couple of genuinely golden moments
I think it's quite funny. Some of the puns are incredible. INCREDIBLE.
knowingly cheap and that's exactly the point.
stand it. Not in a snobby way, just in the fact that I don't think it's funny at all.
But I'll tell you what's REALLY not funny. Mrs Brown's Boys. What the absolute fuck.
funny at all. It looks to be an appallingly televised pantomime. Crap programme whatever it's trying to be.
Lee Mack is one of the worst comedy actors around though. He basically laughs at his own jokes/lines throughout. A bit like Seinfeld did in early series'. He became a better actor when Seinfeld turned rubbish in the penultimate and final series.
Never seen Not Going Out, but everyone seems to have their own "niche" taste in sitcoms... and comedy as a whole. I'm not sure why that is, but you don't see people having as broad tastes in comedy as, say, TV drama boxsets.
