m62 - j21
M27 - J1
I'm M1, J27.
motorway junction spoonerism
A five minute walk away
because my childhood home is equidistant to J27 and J28.
Ravenshead. Where Boatswain is buried.
Mass controversy when they put traffic lights on the roundabout bit of it years ago, my Granddad was furious.
Those traffic lights actually were a pain in the arse.
Halfway between the two. The motorway passes a couple of minutes walk from our old house.
The Prestwich/Whitefield one. You know the one.
M4 - J15
Looking at Google Maps, it would be junction 12 of the M275.
The M61 to the east of Walkden is in the Guinness Book of Records for being the widest section of motorway in Britain, (there are 17 lanes side by side at Linnyshaw Moss).
Hmm. Quotes ate my actual answer:
M60 junction 15.
my joke didn't work. sorry. it was relating to the cockfosters part. or something. meh.
24 is definitely the next closest though.
23 (high barnet, A1) is the next closest.
m60 junction 13
Probably this one actually.
It'll be in Brittany or Normandy.
I'm an idiot.
77 Brackensdale Avenue Kingsway Derby DE22 4AF
Am I allowed to count the A1(m) as a motorway?
But it should definitely be allowed.
this has done your race for head of MME much good
A1(m) junction 17
M180 J5 - 50 miles / 1h17m
A1(M) J17 - 51 miles / 1h16m
A1(M) J34 - 73 miles / 1h38m
M1 J28 - 73miles / 1h51m
What a thread!
I had 3 junctions on different motorways within 4 minutes of each other in different directions. But the winner is...
was so exciting seeing the crash there on the news a bit over a year ago, i was like *wow, that's the closest motorway junction to what i consider to be my childhood home*
before that happened, bloody horrific.
OT, but M5 is defs my favourite motorway.
So I'll give it the hard shoulder
'Home sweet home' vibes... besides the fact you've just entered Luton
technically - the coppid beech roundabout exit in between wokingham and bracknell on the A329 (M). it doesnt have a number.
(or M4 J10 if this freak motorway doesnt count)
used to call it "the top road" when i was younger. Still do actually.
2 miles away.
Because 4 is Farnborough and 3 is Bagshot/Windlesham.
But Junctions 7 and 8 and Junction 10 are quicker to drive to due to having bigger roads leading to them. Don't think I have ever used Junction 9 for the purposes of going home or going anywhere.
