CURRENT STATUS: It's snowing lightly in some places. UK going mental.
else have that JJ72 song stuck in their head?
a bit The Dark Is Rising by Mercury Rev
I might use it to measure how deep it is outside
.''we are expecting a blizzard''. What bollocks. There was also an earhtquake here at 5am today - and Starbucks have run out of snadwiches. That's famine and flood taken care of....
- South West Trains cancelled half their trains before a single flake had fallen.
- It was snowing *inside* Blackfriars station twenty minutes ago.
Otherwise looking forward to trying to find some fresh virgin snow to run in later!
Also by combining my work service with a completely different train, both of which were now only running every 30 mins instead of 15, and somehow expecting that to be fine. Watching people run up and down the platform trying to find 30cm2 in which to stand was grimly fascinating.
on the way back from buying some bread. Why do people fall to pieces when confronted by snow?
so, other than having to walk to the station rather than cycle, the snow is having no real effect here. it's due to snow later though
Is this ACTUALLY it?
You're pathetic, winter.
But it's still being a massive pussy.
Eventually gave up and rather than reversing down, set about executing a 1000-point-turn in the road.
I now have to drive across town to my girlfriend's house cos I left something important in her car yesterday and its just started snowing double heavy. Bring it on snow! You are no match for the bicycle tyres on my bug.
is when you see BMWs trying to go up hills. They refuse to give up and simply don't seem to understand it's pointless with rear-wheel drive and lots of power.
Expect that they should be able to stay still and let the world revolve around them
Took me 50 mins to get there - 30 mins to Birmingham Uni, which isn't bad. Bit of a queue to get up a steep hill just past there, people were going one at a time, giving the BMWs plenty of room for spinning around, etc.
A38 was solid right into town on the way back though. Presumed the A34 outbound would be the same, so took a few shortcuts through the city and out to the Expressway and M6 which was moving fairly well. Journey time to get home: 2 hours 20 minutes D:
wore suede shoes
now it's caning down
- pictures of snow
- people delighted about the snow
- people moaning about their journeys to work
- people moaning that they don't have snow
- people moaning about all the snow talk
- a few legacy horsemeat jokes
think it's time I quit fb, or removed all my friends.
emancipate yo ass
Can't be arsed with gritting the stairs and shovelling it off the roof.
just remembered there's a load of beer and ale outside my back door
gonna be COVERED in snow when I get home
Best place for it
I'm not going to be best pleased if I go home to an indoor snow drift.
my parents have LOADS of snow on the isle of wight
Annoying, but mostly relieving
So i immediately sought higher ground.
and then it got bad and someone hit hannah square in the face :(
T-shirt because the fight erupted as I was in the office cafe and i legged it outside to fuck everyone up.
and then my hands got super cold and i ran inside.
just went to pay a cheque in. It's really cold out there!
currently visibility low because there is a lot of fine snow blowing about in the wind
it isn't really lying and the flakes aren't really big enough to give it much substance
live down the road, barely any snow TBF but our busses gave up rather easily thus I'm home
In Castle Garth.
Me and Trekka have just been launchin snow balls off aal the old people at Hartford Court Care Home. #snowballtotheface #gizyawheelchair
