It works though, amaizingly as an antibacterial. My friend breaks horses and once a horse ran off and got tangled in some barbed wire, wounds so bad at antibiotics wouldn't fix it, and it looked like he was off to teso burger factory. She tried manuka after doing some research- packed the wounds with it and changed every 48 hrs, and the big guy was ok. I know anecdote isnt evidence, but i like this happy endng and manuka has never made a sorethroat worse for me.
if I'm feeling extravagant I'll give it a go one day, thanks. really ANY honey would have been nice, but my ginseng tea helpfully already contains citrus extracts (Birt & Tang, recommended)
do something quiet and initiates little mental stimulation, after about 15minutes you should feel less restless, then go to go to bed but think about something 'a task' that you must complete it your head and you CANNOT sleep until you figure it out.
When you're not thinking about falling asleep, whilst drowsy of course, you tend to nod off. So it's worth trying to artificially trick your brain into recreating the scenario where you nod off whilst doing something else.
