if so how?
I have no idea how.
Not sure how.
Probably some kind of wire?
Any techies confirm?
but if it's a laptop how about just using the headphones out?
I'd have a look around Maplin in any case.
think there is a mpalins in notts dunno :D
Can't you afford a microphone?
the headphone hole in a laptop. so connecting lappy to ampy thru the headphone...jack?
You need 3.5mm to 1/4 jack plug. There are converters you can buy for very little in Maplin or the like.
stereo amp 3.5 to phono would work.
sorry jordan numbers
you want a USB or audio interface which will handle both the input from the guitar and output to the amp. Maybe that's not what you mean though, and you just want to output audio from the laptop to the amp. In that case the amp might have an auxilliary input (probably 3.5in) that you can connect with the appropriate lead to the heaqdphone socket of the laptop. If not you could get a 1/4in adapter and put it through the guitar input but I have a slight feeling that will not go welllllll
i don't have any good speakers. i want to plug my laptop into a guitar amp for playing a backing track whilst im playing a guitar which is plugged into another amp.
but the amp is designed for certain sound ranges and the laptop does way more.
if not then its fine, it doesn't necessarily need to sound good, its just for practice.
but you need to be careful with the laptop's volume. It may not sound amazing either, but it's worth a shot as it's the cheapest option. Just ensure you start with the laptop and amp's volume low and increase slowly.
