Planning on a week in March to get out of London for a bit
make some time to go to Essaouira for a few days.
Apart from that I can't see you going far wrong tbh. Def eat at least one meal on the food stalls in the big central square.

...although have your host come meet you as it's impossible to know where you're going when you first arrive. Staying in a riad is way nicer and personal than a hotel.
You get a fair amount of hassle as a tourist - think more than Mexico, less than India. Stuff is there to be haggled for should you want to stock up on tourist tat. Make sure you get charged the right amount for stuff as folk will try it on.
There's only a couple of places to get a beer in the old city.
Aside from the main highlights of Marrakesh itself, a trip to The Atlas Mountains is nice (if the weather is dcent).
