I like Richard Pryor, Bill Hicks, Patton Oswalt and Stewart Lee, so more stuff of that ilk.
but a bit different to those above.
is ace too
similarly acerbic to the guys you like in places, but more entertainingly mundane/dreary.
and Bo Burnham and that is all
To give an idea what the podcast is like..
but I find his stand up to be brilliant and full of laughs + as opposed to making fun of the audience he talks to them and flushes out some wonderful stories leading to some pretty awesome improvised moments.
Dara O'Briain, nothing like the above EEEERRRRRRRR *audience laughs*
(some) Ricky Gervais
I also like
and that todd barry
and the paulftompkins
man it has totally turned terrible. Couldn't even get through the last few episodes. But I do not complain because I did not pay for it
the bits generally and the undiscovered project especially got a lot worse but i like the rambling still. i laughed for about ten minutes when he was riffing about eban schletter being the jazzy rascal and he did a little theme tune for himself.
the undiscovered project and the recorded theatre bits just got a lot crapper I guess. And when Jen Kirkman got trapped in the internet that was rubbish cos she's really good on it. Did you ever listen to the one where she told the story about working for 'Aires Magazine', the magazine for millionaires? I hope that was all true. sofunny
but yeah she is dead funny telling stories, there was one about a swimming pool which was grand too.
Also, David Cross
but he's really really annoying. what's all that about. i think he talks down to people a bit.
but, overall, worth checking out imo
although he doesn't seem to be that active these days.
Especially on his Bigger & Blacker and Never Scared tours. It's pretty black-centric, but there's stuff in there everyone can relate to.
its just so... black.
Not a racist.
She's playing a gig in London next month. Should be good. Here's her with a proposal for a billionaire.
Hopefully the link works. I'm typing this on my phone.
nowadays his sets are a mishmash of jokes/poems
