Do you have their landline number stored in your phone under »Home«?
but it's probably time to be a grown up and change it, eh?
I dont even...
and asked me to fill in for him whilst he's away for a while.
I have my landline number as "home". I have my old house number under "Dad Home".
SO FUCK YOU ALL
...it would appear that I don't have their number stored in my phone at all.
so it's stored in me noggin
Sergeant Daddy Mr Twentynine Sir
her mobile is in as "Mum", her landline as "Mum home"
I've just never bothered
Still, actually can't remember the last time I rang them on it
it's literally the only phone number I know from memory
Don't have either of my parent's home numbers stored. Don't know either of them off by heart.
My mum doesn't live in the same place I grew up in anymore and I can't remember the last time I spoke to my dad on the phone.
Why didn't you like him again? I can't really remember.
but was too indie to do anything about it, then it turned out he'd been boffing her all along. Plus he was better at the job than me.
As I said, we've now all got new jobs and they've moved in together, so it's all worked out in the long run.
or maybe my mum just doesn't want to talk to me :/
their landline is in under 'mum & dad'.
Divorce is the hallmark of middle England. It's the Waitrose of relationship statuses.
(So you can find it if you need it for something.)
Mine is 'Our House'.
I have only given the number to my folks really. It's either them or sales calls, so Mr Starshaped refuses to answer it.
free evening calls because my flatmates like to ring her mother a lot.
i've never used it. i don't even know what the number is.
And when you have to ring up to complain about the internet not working they ask you for your phone number. :)
Is it just as you have to have 'line rental' for the internet still? I can't remember the last time I used a landline.
i was at my parent's house as well. needed to ring my insurance people. used my parent's phone instead of mine. standard
Certain numbers are only free using them, and it gives you a phone to use to dial out to impossibly slow help lines while still being able to take normal calls.
You have to have one for the internet in most cases so you may as well have it.
It's strange how often I get asked for the number for various accounts etc given that I don't have a phone plugged into it.
But I don't even KNOW the damn number. I can't remember the last time I used it.
My parents are the only other people who have it.
saved as "mum"
My own landline is saved as "flat"
both have new numbers, don't have either. old home number is ingrained on my very being though.
my landline is under "Flat" and is used predominately to call Canada.
I had it saved as Home (as I still do because I live there), because I initially saved the number to my phone back when I also lived there. Pretty sure I'd always save it like that anyway though.
Though work pay for me to have a landline in case there's AN EMERGENCY and the mobile networks go down.
Dad Home (Step Dad)
Dad E Home (Real Dad)
Home (My Flat)
If I did I'd probably have the street name, rather than 'home'. Sometimes I talk about 'home' and people (ie. my student friends) get confused because they can't quite comprehend my parents house not being my home anymore.
When I was a wayward teenager I'd have my parents mobiles saved as their first names and my home number was 'Ryde', just in case I got picked up by the police and they tried to ring my parents.
My parents are saved as 'Home' anyway. Idk what else to call it.
by whether or not yr parents have split up or not.
Would be weird picking one or the other as "home".
but it's mainly dictated by whether you're a grown up or not.
might bust it out tomorrow.
if they have split up - whether either stayed in the house you grew up in, as surely that would stay home?
My Dad left when we were 8, and despite moving about, all of my formative years that were spent when in the UK was spent at my Mum's place, which is still 'Home' in my phone.
I dopn't know what the altermative would be- 'parent and sister's home'? NO. IT IS MY HOME TOO.
their number in my phone from 'Home' to 'Mom & Dad' about a week ago.
