i might get into this this year.
anyone do it?
how long before i can do a YOGA FLAME?
Doesn't help much does it?
what is qi gong?
IT SOUNDS FUNNY!
Darth Maul kills him at the end of Phantom Menace
i had lessons for 2 years, trick is to find a good teacher you enjoy lessons with, then just stick at it and you'll be sorted
if i really cant be bothered to do my own routine thesedays i whack on the Yoga-X video from the p90x exercise thing. Can download it plenty of places.
It's super cheesy but a pretty effective session to keep things ticking over
But now I do a set group of stretches every day for core exercise more than anything, rather than going into complicated postures.
and its THE BEST yoga there is
/ end thread
It's really hard, I thought I was going to die
You're like OH SHIT IM GONNA DIE AND/OR SHIT MYSELF/THROW UP.
But then you don't
And then you get a coconut water and have a brilliant night sleep.
OOF. So excited for Sunday.
felt like louis theroux in the one where he trains with the wrestlers
and then got up without warming down and fainted. chicks dig that
But technically speaking it's just very basic hatha yoga in a hot space and there's so so much more to yoga than just that one series of asanas. You should try some ashtanga- that gets you into a total froth without the need for the heaters. I think you might like it!
I just like the bikram cause I get so much from it. I have hip problems and when I go, it gets rid of all the pains and I think thats to do with the temperature of the room - I'm not sure though. And I quite like that all my toxins come out and my skin goes well good! Its like getting stretchy in a sauna, it does a range of good things for my insides.
in a cashmere coat.
and wanna get back on it.
it's good. sod the hot stuff, though. i easily get enough of a dab on as it is.
there's a class near me that does that - pretty convientient
And covers quite a bit, so it is hard to say what this will realy cover. go along and see if you like it.
I'm part qualified to tech ashtanga Primary and intermediate series. I'm doing the rest if my training in the spring when I go abroad to travel. Yoga really is amazing.
so i'll give it a go
I love it
I burst into tears when I did the camel pose for the first time.
cos last night my mum was showing me some yoga positions and i tried them and i was pure dead brilliant at it and she was well impressed, so maybe i've found the one physical activity that i won't be absolutely shite at. (it could possibly also just be that i'm 21 and she's 50 and touching your ear with your foot is a lot more impressive to a 50-year-old.)(the ear-foot-touching wasn't a yoga position i was just doing it for fun)
is it completely pointless trying to do this with just videos/books/yadadada rather than proper, live human being lessons?
So that a. You get the full benefit and b. yu don't hurt yourself.Practise hard and soon you'll be doing it whilst hammered like me- http://www.flickr.com/photos/lulumahon/3795340701/in/photostream
