cheers for reminding
Like London is in the UK.
It seems the older you get, the more useless you become. One of the questions was about identifying music from a Christmas film, released 2010. Baroness somebody whispered to the captain: 'Is it Titanic?' JFC.
There, I said it.
makes you feel like a genius if you get a question right
but they're all phrased in such a meandering way even when they're relatively simple, so by the time I've worked out what the question actually is then some autistic child-abuse victim has already buzzed in.
name an English compos.... BUZZZ - Vaughn Williams? Yes
name a 20th century art... BUZZZ - picasso? Yes
Born in 1972 in a damp, dark corner of the Fens, his works include wES, something dull about snowboarding and various manic posting sprees when bored at work, the DiSser known as 'thewarn' is popularly believed to be responsible for which giant primate 'troll'?
Lloyd Grossman slamming his fist on the desk whenever he answered
and felt the need to boast about it on here
and still I persevered with it.
watched a bit of the repeat of Frozen Planet yesterday, I'd forgotten how amazing it is. The penguin stealing the other penguin's stones! Narwhal traffic jam! Immortal caterpillar!
Narwhal Traffic Jam

It was interesting.
Unfortunately, I ended up catching the end of the Chris Packham wildlife programme that was on before it, specifically the bit where they were pulling bottfly larvae out of people's heads.
And black bears chilling in hot tubs.
what the hell
Watched a bit of DA's Galapagos on Sky 1 last night. I was slightly disappointed. It was pedestrian.
Every time a new Beeb wildlife doc comes around i think, 'They'll never better the last one...' then they find something EVEN more amazing than last time.
I'd pay the license fee every year just to always have an hour of telly like that once in a blue moon. Also the only time I ever thank the Lord I have an HD capable telly.
Fossil lakes. Blind catfish. Rhinos out on the pull. Cartwheeling spiders. Cannibal crickets. Giraffe wrestling. Comedian drongos.
Roll on next week.
The outstanding part was the chipmunk thing that slowly dropped its nut and fled in terror when the leopard looked at it.
Worth all the millions in licence fees and every year they had to stand in the desert to get this 10 seconds of footage
You've got beef with me
Can't stand the bullshit anthromoporphised stories they put over the top.
Those giraffes were really going for it though.
I like the anthropomorphised stuff. It helps me relate to the animals.
You need to have a little bit to stop it being dry and technical, but it's very judiciously done.
monumental start to the year
what an idiot.
Also, UNDERGROUND SECRET LAKE BLIND CATFISH.
We've consistently proved we're better than them. Why bother watching their inferior shenanigans?
I've seen you do something similar when a girl looks in your direction. So many wasted portions of chips
Not heard it called that before.
I'm eating lunch on my own and I'm bored and I'm not interested in any of the other threads
Time to talk about the nerdy rhino that managed to completely cockblock the silverback rhino by pulling a gag with a pair of horns.
That was the equivalent of putting on a plastic joke shop glasses/moustache contraption and winning the girl from under the nose of the jock. Inspiring to us all.
tell you what, I'll watch it to tonight. Everybody back here tomorrow to discuss this rhino cockblocking incident.

but then he was crap at mounting her so she pretended to be asleep. Excellent work.
His only idea to get a slice was to balance a bit of skull on his face. I doubt it's ever worked before. Can't blame him that he didn't know what to do next
what are we doing?
That's pretty much all I miss about home is the amazing wildlife. Next week Elephants! I am super excited about that!
I rolled me eyes and said "I know how she feels" and my boyfriend gave me the dirtiest look. Not in a good way either.
I loved how patient she was being and then eventually was all: "Yep had enough now"
