FRIDAY
What an awful day today is/will be. I'm so hungover and so tired and I just want to go to bed. At least I can go home in 5 and a half hours and nap for a few hours. I'm so sick of the coffee in this place as well but that's obvs not gonna stop me from having about a gazillion cups today, YUCK. AND I JUST REMEMBERED I HAVE SOME THRILLING EXCEL WORK TO DO SO I CAN'T JUST DICK AROUND ON THE INTERNET WHILST ANSWERING THE OCCASIONAL PHONE CALL, WHICH WAS MY INTENTION
ARGH

At least you'll always have Paris...
I have my room, the rain, and The Walking Dead game for a tenner off Steam.
still good though
I have The Walking Dead game for a tenner off Steam
only Ep 2 won't load.
FFS.
reinstall the entire thing?
YAY STEAM
don't want to have to play through ep1 again
might have to though. Have emailed Telltale Games, as it seems to be a fairly common problem on mac, to see if they have a definitive fix for it.
humph.
I'm so bored
There's three of us in the office today but one of the others had the norovirus over Christmas so i'm keeping my distance from everyone.
I think I need to get drunk tonight.
going back to Newcastle day!
I have the worlds heaviest suitcase. I'm not sure how I'm going to get it on and off trains.
I'm getting a McDonalds breakfast soon.
office count; 4/21 (again)
i was the only one left by 3:30pm yesterday. put some music on though so it's all good.
Where bounce you work at J_229_2?
Mansfield or Nottm?
Nottingham, on t'big Boots site
Why'd you ask?
Just wondering if you were city centre
I imagine the shops will be carnage. Was in Derby city centre yesterday and it was like 28 Days Later.
yeah me mate Matt said it was horrible in Notts yeasterday, particularly John Lewis
See, you probably don't get that level of hysteria in Mansfield
except when Bargain Booze have a half-price sale
:D
I like the office more
when it's very quiet.
in bed
snuggling with puppy. going for a few drinks tonight and having bacon rolls for beeskfast
:-o
youve actually made it. living the dream buddy x
oh go fuck yourself
I ALSO WANT TO BE IN BED AND HAVE A PUPPY
Something about being in bed and holding puppies.
at the mo it's just me, two quiet gals and a guy who has brought in his collie
i'm so happy
Is he making everyone cauliflower cheese?
if he was i might kiss him
hiya
alright?
yeah, a little worn out
but i didn't drink yesterday so not too bad. i have to move house tonight and tomorrow though. and unfortunately it's not yet to oxford. every is being mad slow at replying about jobs because it's christmas week. hope it gets sorted quickly though
don't give up c_r
thanks dude :)
^this
Sounds like one of those times when a bit of short term aggro will quickly change into a very positive situation.
oh it totally will, you're right
it's just the next month doesn't have much fun in it and has lots of shitty stuff like endless job hunting and moving house and saving money to make sure we're good for our deposit and that. once i've moved and started a new job though, it'll be totally worth it.
there's fun! 11th & 12th!
yeah, there is that actually.
I just spent a long time away from my desk
Having a post-festivities poo.
Fuck offffffff work
Just fuck offfffffffff
don't give up av
But i really really want to
quiet office woo!!
pretty excited about this weekend (tonight through to tuesday). lovely people, fun times etc.
left the picture frame my mother bought me for christmas on the coach though. turns out the coach is back in chesterfield. waiting on a call from a man to see if they have found it. i am the worst daughter ever.
lots of talk about mansfield and chesterfield in this thread. good stuff.
the best thing is when the guy answered the phone he said
"and what have you lost, flower?" he was lovely and sounded genuinely sad about it. i love people from my home town, they're so friendly.
CHEZZA EYYYYYYYYYY
not sure about this mansfield malarkey though, it's like chesterfield's evil twin town.
photo frame update:
THEY HAVE IT AND I AM GETTING IT BACK. so happy.
Had many good times in Mansfield and Chezzie
Met some real characters as well. Ah, happy days
have you done the brampton mile?
Had a mate that lived in Brampton but never did the mile
Used to go out in the town centre a bit though
I were in Chesterfield
over Christmas.
I drove through Chesterfield the other week.
Decided if Chesterfield vanished not many people would notice.
left my phone charger at my grandparents' house
hope they're not too old to post stuff
old people love posting stuff
that's what they're all about.
I'm in bed
With a cup of tea watching the last half of an episode of breaking bad that I fell asleep to last night.
Tonight I'm off to see that new Bradley cooper film with my lovely msmonipenni and we're gonna have popcorn and wine and probably cry!
I'm at work.
It's dead quiet and I feel a bit lonely after spending the past week with family and friends. Got gym to look forward to though.
Might go to the Lego shop later on today.
what are the best multiplayer/co-op games for PS3
that are played with two people in the same room looking at the same television rather than played over the internets?
Rayman is good for this
Other than that i'm not sure. On the couch stuff has taken a bit hit this generation. I guess Gears of War is kind of OK for it.
on the couch
that's a good term for what i mean.i wanted to get something i can play with my brother that ISN'#T football or golf
Zombies on Black Ops 2
As much as I dislike these games
I do quite like Zombies. Always leaves me wanting a better co-op game. Actally C_R Horde on Gears is really good for co-op.
i might just buy a game and play it on my own instead
he can watch me
also a strong choice
oh man i just had an amazing baguette for lunch
feel a bit better now. and only two and a half hours until i can leeeeaaaaveee
also i bought a raspberry lemonade which i'm pretty excited about
might try and mix some of it with some fizzy water
talk me through the fillings
OKAY
condiments: aioli on one side and pesto on the other.
then a bunch of tuna of some sort of creamy variety.
then vegetables: cucumber, cherry tomatoes, bit of sweetcorn, red pepper, red onion.
salt and pepper.
cost a fortune, but was well worth it. was made fresh and prepared in front of my very eyes so i could pick exactly the things i wanted etc
actually that sounds fucking incredible to be fair.
what sort of bread?
french baguette
of the non-white variety
j'approve
I think I've officially spent too much time at home
I just want to sit alone in a darkened room and put on some Boris at ear-splitting volume. On my own. Alone.
But at least I'm not at work. I'm being dragged around the shops today.
watching 102 dalmatians waiting for my banana bread to be ready to eat
then going for lunch at some vegan place i've not been to yet.
awww i would love to watch that film right now
also: what is it with vegans and bananas!? my brother's girlfriend is vegan and they were spending a week at my parents' over christmas. they had to buy her SEVENTY BANANAS.
why are we at work guize
this is a colossal waste of everyone's time
no idea.
i have AT LEAST 5 better things i could be doing. and by better i mean more productive. not even just stuff like watching a film or playing video games.
I don't know about you but i'm only here in case the emergency phone rings
which it won't
sadly, reception is one of the few places where someone really just has to be
only had about 10 phone calls so far today though
also i am paid by the hour
I've been catching up on records from this year that I missed which are turning up on EOY lists
Passion Pit and Efterklang are a bit sexy aren't they?
Today is the penultimate day at the parents. Going for a pint with my only remaining really close *home* friend.
Just made some minestrone soup from the leftover beef stock from Tuesday
I hope it doesn't kill me. I think I've overdone th e black pepper.
Going to Glasgow to see some friends and then going to Edinburgh tonight to see Craig foley. Did you know (interesting true fact) thatcraigfoley isn't even his real name?
Might go back to bed with my puppy for a bit because she looks sleepy.
Foley is actually two Tom cruises stacked on top of each other in a long coat
His full name is Tom Cruise Tom Cruise
Jack reacher jack reacher!
pairing foley with the word reacher is dark and terrifying*
*arousing
Looking forward to having jack reacher round later
No, that doesn't really work.
i mean it sort of does?
logistically at lea-NO
He doesnt look like a derek at all though
Heeheehee
He'll kill you.
(Ps PRETTY SURE HIS PASSPORT SAYS GRANT)
(Pps excited to be seeing you tomorrow too!)
Obviously not actually going to use my real name on the internet
But yeah my family all call me Grant, probably shouldn't tell people my name is Craig in real life as well. Bit confusing.
Using yr real name on the internet would be kind of stupid
That is why I don't
might make tagine tonight
LESS THAN AN HOUR LEFT WOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
spent the last few hours in front of the fire reading my book with a cat sitting on my lap
I like christmas holidays
might buy a random steam game and play it even though I hate steam
or just watch India vs Pakistan
tough life
eaten too many brazil nuts
now im googling what happens if you eat too many brazil nuts.
goodbye cruel world.
they're really radioactive
do you have a geiger counter to hand?
diabeetus
I don't wanna be here anymore
I actually have work to do now, that wasn't part of the deal!
I have seven minutes to change from platform 11 to platform 2 at Manchester picadilly
With a big, heavy, stupid suitcase. Can it be done?
Failing that, do any Manchester disers fancy a drink somewhere near the station?
tip
don't post asking if it can be done just go go go
why are you reading this, go go go
it's not for anther hour or so
I'm currently trapped on a slow train from Chester.
:(
i could've had some thisses there if you hadn't posted that.
I think you can walk from 2 to 11 in a couple of minutes iirc. There's a moving walkway thing to the ones that are miles away but I think that's 13 and 14.
oh, platform 11 isn't where I thought it was
I wondered why the guard on this train said I didn't have to go across the footbridge.
I'm suddenly feeling less sick and a bit more positive. I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself.
positivity2k13
^5
I made it!
I ran like a big idiot and the train wasn't even at the platform yet. Piccadilly is much smaller than I remember. I feel stupid for getting so wound up now.
making satay pork chop instead
