Hot/Cold Taps
Which one do you use? Does it depend what it's for (washing hands, toothbrush etc)...?
Been labelled a weirdo for using the hot water for everything. Apparently it should only be used when washing hands, everything else should be cold water.
Eh?

Mixer taps ftw
Did you know that most Europeans, maybe even foreigners generally,
have never encountered two separate hot & cold taps before visiting the UK and just cannot understand why you would have anything other than a mixer tap. Makes sense of course, but I never knew separate taps was a British thing. Why is this?
unions
onions
bunions
Vashti
rosti
I have seen americans post about how weird we are
especially in places like service stations where there are no plugs. So you are stuck with freezing cold or boiling hot. I've never really thought of it before.
I know right?
I'd barely even noticed that there were two different ways you could have your taps until this Austrian chick started laying into me for it.
I just got over it at a young age
by getting used to roasting hot water, or flicking my hand between hot and cold in order to cool them down as I rinsed the soap off.
actually pisses me off that we have separate taps
just makes no sense at all
so
when you go for a nice refreshing glass of water.. you use the hot water tap?
I don't drink tap water
Aaron only drinks the sweat off a virgins back
Please explain yourself
the chinese are right into drinking hot water
great bunch o' lads
usually go with
hot tap: things that require hot water
cold tap: things that require cold water
cheers
Hope your not using hot water straight from the tap for brews.
Brute.
I'm not
but that doesn't need a tap
it needs a kettle.
I just use cold water for basically everything
Because I'm nails.
Washing anything is hot water.
Drinking out of the hot water tap is generally considered a bit weird,
because the hot tap drawers water from where it's been sitting in a storage tank going stale and being shit in by pigeons and what have you.
Not if you have a combi boiler.
If washing my hand in the bogs at work, or the pub or any other non-domestic environment
It has to be the cold as the hot water always seems to have been heated at the Earth's core
