I remember being a student and thinking I'd never be the sort of person who'd work in an office and even though I didn't have any clue what I wanted to do I knew it would be too interesting to involve an office. Didn't work out that way unfortunately although I actually quite like the office environment sometimes.

It's kinda exactly how I thought it would be but more boring. It would be nice if there was a hot girl or two to flirt with. However knowing (hoping) that it's only a stop-gap, I don't dislike it.

I imagine office work would be just fine / semi-enjoyable on a day-to-day level - but crushing in a long-term, existential dread sorta way

I now work in community centres, schools and libraries. Much better. Except the libraries.

I get out and about a bit though. 10% of my time is meant to be spent going up and talking to people.

although I guess my time is increasingly spent traveling between locations, in comms rooms etc.

I used to fix aeroplanes

Pretty much spend my days staring at two massive 30" monitors.

It's cool though, I do fun projects that get seen by hundreds of thousands of people.

I find you tend to get really fat working in offices.

going back to my old work on Monday in a callcentre for about a month or so for some extra cash, actually looking forward to it, kind of missed the bants and that.
