Oysters
how are you with them? Delicious? Make you puke? Would eat, but wouldn't choose them?

never tried them
not really desperate to do so
this interests me
do you like other shellfish? If so, why not try 'em?
I do like other shellfish
just never got round to trying oysters.
crab > lobster > prawn > mussels > oysters >>>>>> most other things
I love them
Raw, cooked, oyster sauce on a stir-fry, however you like.
Also this is a really good recipe: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/beefoysterandalepie_92453
YES.
i saw that recipe t'other day. i am a mahoosive fan particularly of oyster sauce too. feels like pure endorphins
I really want to try a raw one
but the timing is never quite right. I had a cooked (grilled?) one at Rick Stein's fish and chip shop in Padstow. It was nice, people go into bloody raptures about them so I am not sure if that is something destroyed in the cooking process.
I've had about 3 in my life time
The first one - hate it. It was horrible.
Second and third - liked it but didn't love it.
I love them. Delicious
Cold and fresh with a little lemon juice, tabasco and pepper. Yum.
PEPPER. yes. a lot of people don't do this put pepper on them rules.
also massive fan of pickled shallots on them
OMG pickled shallots are delicious
I am salivating for seafood.
i had them on holiday when i was about 15
they were awesome, had them with tobasco sauce
I found lobster a bit dissapointing
But that may have been relative to its price and the amount you actually get. I think I'd rather just have a load of prawns.
go halfway house and have crab
they're massively alright
can take or leave them.
Love all other shellfish though, apart from whelks.
Yeah man, fuck whelks
I like whelks
They are basically snails. Little crappy seafood shacks by beaches used to be horrible as everything was just pickled. Now it is fresh (well, unfrozen) so you can actually taste the seafood. Cockles are good too.
They are basically snails that you have to chew for about a gazillion years
Seriously, fuck whelks. Life's too short.
I've never had any
and I never will, so I hope that the description of them being like mucous is correct
bluddy love em.
had 6 on ice for my dessert in loch fyne last week.
I used to not mind
really nice with tabasco. But then I found out they're alive when you eat them, which seemed both sickening and oddly cruel.
so now I don' eat them.
Bit plasticy.
That microchip really gets stuck in your teeth.
OH THEO

Also, can I point out I shouldn't have had to make this joke?
You people are slacking.
I love them
I think, although i do wonder whether it's more the condiments that I love really. that shallot viaigrette is the fucking mutt's nuts. And the green tabasco!
I have had a bad one before where i lost about half a day and hallucinated like fuck. It was quite fun though.
Enjoy them when available, but have never really sought them out.
Can I confirm, we all know it's best to chew them? The down in one thing is not cool.
Ones from Waitrose gave me the norovirus a couple years ago.
I had to get out of bed to puke and shit every hour throughout the night and next day. I would have shit my bed but I had nothing left to poop as I hadn't been able to eat for 12 hours.
Fuck em.
Taste delicious
Disgusting. Just a slimy transport for sauce like snails.
they're amazing
second only to lobster in the shellfish world
maybe a massive fucking langoustine is better as well actually
What I don't get is why my work pass interferes with my oyster
but my oyster doesn't interfere with my work pass.
