because they are comentators on A NEWS CHANNEL, don't cut them any slack on this, you and I know the capitals of north and south korea and the huge differences in the artistic (and other) freedoms available in both countries.
fox either deliberately chose to have ignorant commentators or the comentators deliberately played dumb to engage with their perception of an ignorant and semi racist target audiance....neither is worthy of recieving your generosity of interpretation
if they are deliberately dumbing down then they are patronising the audiance and encouraging
ignorance (or feigned ignorance) with the audiance

But the channel seems so sad and desperate now. I dunno. They used to be like kik, mixing outrageous lies with more normal-sounding stuff. But now it's just 100% stone cold horse shit, they're not even trying.

even ignoring the ad hominem and ignorant remarks for a second, the song does have words, does have a 'meaning' and it's popularity is pretty easy to understand : man gives people licence to act freely and dance in a silly way by bridging irony, humour and the absurd... no judgement, just go crazy... glad it has been such a hit, personally.
He is a horrible man, but apparently a very smart one.
