  • All of the above.

  • I've lived in Scotland about four months so I'm still technically a tourist.

Me and Wor Lass like Tribecca (I think it's on Dumbarton Rd) for huge American-style breakfast (more of a treat than a regular expense) and we ate nice food in Mister Singh's which is at the far end of Sauchiehall St.

I had quite a good night drinking Nigerian Guinness in Calabash, but I don't know what the food's like.

I hope this thread yields places for me to visit too...

This thread has reminded me of something. Remember those little Itchy city guide books? They used to be quite useful. Just looked at the website. It seems to be exceedingly shit in comparison.

  • Pubs
The Variety, Nice and sleazys, The halt bar,King tuts, Brew dog, West brewery, McSorleys, Captains Rest, The belle, Stereo, 13th Note & others

    Bars
Not sure about "Bars" - lots of places that are on bath street that are open till 3 but are a bit shit. You might call them "Bars"

    Clubs
Arches, sub club, The Unit (techno and/or swedgers)
The Art school (somewhere in-between above and below)
The buff club (fit birds and mish mash of music)

    Restaurants
It's a good place for a curry either the dabba, shish mahal or mother india's cafe. There are other good ones but can't think of them just now.

I've stayed in Glasgow most of my life but left about a year ago, so there might be stuff I've missed but if you are more specific it might be easier to help you out. It's a great place - aggressively friendly but really nice with it.

  • Cheers, all sounds good

nearly a decade since I was last up in Glasgow.

I do remember Sleazy's and 13th note were good drinkers though.
