Unnecessary purchases based on weather
So today I found myself looking at yet ANOTHER wooly jumper to possibly buy. I don't need another one, but I am currently drawn to thick wooly jumpers because I am so cold.
During summer I tended to crave iced coffees a lot. I didn't necessarily want one, but I would buy them out of extreme hotness.
Have you made any weather purchases recently?

I bought a technical jacket because I was fed up of getting wet
(this is a true story and not just a weak in-joke)
I bought a jacket from Gap last year because it was raining really heavily and I was only wearing a shirt.
The jacket was £60 and wasn't even waterproof; good one me.
you need to get yourself a furry snod
(I am saying snood, it's mor like a muff that goes round your neck, but i'm avoiding double entendres.)
Anyway- they are SO WARM and I've not really felt all that cold yet this year (and I'm sure it's down to this).
SNOOD
:D I liked 'Snod'
A muff round the next is even better.
I once knitted a snood. It's so big though.
NOTHING
because I have no debit card.
I do need to purchase some shit cheap ugg boots for walking to work as I use my vans and my feet were FREEZING today.
Why not get Hunter wellies and get those thick wooly inner socks for them?
Remember what happened to PO's mum's Uggs in Scotland.
Yeah I might do. Or I might get those short little jelly boots people have
They're cute.
Those crap plastic ponchos you get at festivals.
only really drink fizzy lemon softdrinks between about May & July.
don't tend to get the urge for them much at other times of the year.
I wouldn't drink a pint of lager at this time of year
But i'm all over them in the summer. LIkewise things like pimms.
conversely - mulled wine / gluewein (sp?) when out at a winter fair
Pimms is a good call, also Sangria
i hope it snows so i can wear my napolean dynamite moon boots out in london.
Bought a barbeque in July
Still unused
I always go with disposable barbecues
on the basis that I don't think that there are more than 3 days a year when a) the weather's nice enough to have a barbecue and b) I can be bothered to do one
I had 3 barbecues in a week
Just to be sure I got at least some use from it.
Was a bit of an impulse buy when I saw it reduced from £30 to £12 in Sainsbury's
I spent €55 on a pair of jeans and a cardigan in Porto in June
Because I'd only brought dresses and a hoody and it was wet and cold. They were necessary, but I wish I'd bought jeans that i liked enough to wear afterwards.
Spiced Cider
Mulled wine
Hot toddies
Stouts
All drinks suited for this time of the year
I've certainly bought more umbrellas this year than ever before
Bought two crappy snow shovels on offer last spring.
For the car. Just in case. Unlikely to ever use then. Hope that's the case, anyway, cos they're plastic tat.
Bought some spray on sun lotion in April.
Fat lot of use that turned out to be. :/
