What's better - something quite regimented and planned out with "activities" or just a room with alcohol and a stereo?

I used to think you were alright
I have never had one like you get on the telly
after hours on a Friday, people getting pissed in the staff canteen and photocopying their arses etc. Snogging in the stationery cupboard. I am not sure they really exist. The last one I went to was in a huge hotel in the centre of town and it seemed to include about 10 different companies. Massive meal, disco, DJ made everyone cheer when he read out their company name. Incredibly depressing, I got pissed on free wine and left as soon as possible.
Had some rubbish ones and some good ones
Although if you get too drunk ,you have the massive fear about how much of a dick you made of yourself.
This happened to me one year and was horrific. Kept getting texts from people as the photos went up on the staff intranet. Urgh.
Best to break off with a few good people and go somewhere else after a while.
