Anyone know any? Particularly in the Lecister Square/Waterloo area.
A lot of places with pool tables are lairy/have uberserious players on them/are shite pubs.
Really want to play more often.
It's a national problem, but especially in London as Royter said.
I remember in Manchester once we really fancied a game of pool and thought of this pub which was about 10-15 mins walk away. When we got there there was four massive blokes in bomber jackets stood outside and we remembered that it was Dessie Noonan's (notorious gangster) funeral that day and he was from round this neck of the woods. We were still walking towards it and these blokes spotted us about a hundred yards away and started shouting at us "NO, NO, FUCK OFF" and pointing in the opposite direction.
Needless to say we fucked off pretty quickly, and never got to play the game of pool.
I was hoping more for a table where you pay a couple of quid and playa few games though.
would recommend. plus they do Murphy's on tap which i quite like
Hampered badly and just unloved.
The Good Mixer has two and is usually ok.
The Big Red
i think that's it tho. no others.
but there is always this fat old man who is a film director/food critique playing who refuses to let anyone else have a go.
