I've never used an expensive one
Just get whichever branded one's on offer.
Wouldn't get own-brand shit, but no point spending more than about £2.
like Herbal Essences or Tres Semme volumising shampoo, as I have very fine hair, so if I use a cheap one (say, a supermarket own brand) it will make my hair flat and dull.
God, that sounded like an advert.
My hair's greasy again about an hour after using it
Pink or green flavour. Kind of works and it's a pound. 7/10.
when you first use it it coats your hair in a layer of it making it all shiney and nice, then as you repeatedly wash your hair the layer builds up and begins to weigh your hair down and make it look heavy and greasy and bad.
I stopped using shampoos with dimethocone/dimethiconol and noticed an improvement in the state of my hair.
This is more than I ever dreamt of
What did I find in the ingredients? Dimethiconol. How fucking DARE they. I'm never gonna stop looking at the back of shampoo bottles now.
There's normally deals on and they are always big bottles.
That said my hairdresser told me that the best thing for getting rid of any product build-up is washing up liquid
he's bound to have an opinion on this
said something like 5% of all the nice stuff they put in shampoos actually makes it into your hair
Lots of expenxive shampoo is just better branded/ fancier packaged cheap shit.
If you have a particular hair iussue, however, there are specialist shampoos which tend to cost more and are generally good.
I just buy cheap shampoo noramlly (actually- I have one fairly expensive violet shampoo for blonde hair, but I don't like the smell so I only use it once a week otr so). I am a total csucker for expensive conditoiner. See: hair masks. I love a hair mask.
I know they all get rid of grease but I'm sick of seeing 'for dry, damaged hair'. There should be one that says 'for greasy, shit hair'
but if you want dry hair use dove shampoo, real dry dry shampoo
It makes a massive difference.
My hair is fine and (kinda) long but I use a really expensive thickening shampoo and my hair looks about 500 times better than before I used it a few years ago. So shampoo makes more of a difference than you probably think.
But I've got some strawberry shower gel from Superdrug at the moment and it smells outrageously beautiful.
it makes no difference what shampoo I use
