I'd like that.
are lovely, especially for work if you're being lazy. The smoked haddock chowder is amazing and I have it for lunch today : )
You really can't beat Heinz.
Beautiful, all of them, and really, really cheap.
Not a fan of soups from cans though.
They're much nicer.
More flavour, less salty, cheaper.
Someone tell me where I can get one.
No-one mention the Covent Garden Soup Co.
and the week before, a cracking pea and chorizo.
My girlfriend is Glaswegian and claims that this makes her queen of soup in our circle of friends. She does a mean broth too, that woman.
feat. carrots, onion, special pink potato, coriander and paprika
Our two regulars also start with potato and onion but go on with broccoli and blue cheese and cauliflower and cream respectively
but you can definitely get purple potatoes. They're a bit weird though.
I like snow but I also like soup. I think I'll go with never eat soup again.
Can I still listen to Snow?
Sounding really dated now! Surprising.
i reckon i'll keep the snow and sneak through a few broths and stews.
Balonz - does Pho count as a soup? I really like Pho.
there's nothing you can do to stop me.
Are you drinking or eating soup?
I say eating if its chunky.
Drinking if its smooth.
The only way I can get you to not see snow again is to gouge your eyes out.
Tim Robbins-like, in a bid for freedom.
Help me someone.
The buy one get one half price offer at M&S is tempting, so I've have them for lunch this week. Yesterday and today Stilton and broccoli (lovely), and tomorrow and Thurs carrot and corriander (hopefully the same).
HOWEVER: The issues I raised in this classic thread -

PS Who was banned and messed up that thread?
Eat half and stop being a gannet.
BUT IM STILL RIGHT.
And I bought some wholemeal pittas as a side if I'm still hungry.
just tinned stuff.
Even considered using it as a gravy substitute. Never did it mind. Might get some when I go out to get my dinner today. Relive the glory days.
Pret have a ham hock one. Gonna have it for lunch.
and a bottle of red as stock and heat that through for quite some time and it makes the most delicious soup.
I ate with socca.
It was more like a bean curry. I didn't enjoy it. Apparently it gave me lesbian dreams, too.
I had a cheese sandwich the other day that turned me into a gay.
Also, that definitely wasn't the cheese sandwich.
chicken, carrots, onion, celery, lentils. Laaaaaaaaaahvly.
it was very nice indeed.
they served cold shots of tomato soup + vodka
it's awesome, get some of that.
Got homemade spiced butternut squash soup for dinner tonight and will be making a red lentil and veg soup on Thursday. Love soup I do. I make a really nice chorizo and pepper soup as well.
It was good! Perhaps a little robust on the seasoning, but goodtexture and very filling. I can't acvtually manage my sandwich ot my pudding now.
It was amazing. Making and eating soup is so cathartic.
All I will say is that the Wright Brothers Oyster Bar in Soho sure can knock out a mean bisque
Once my wife had gotten over her hatred of oysters and realised it was a general-purpose fish restaurant of considerable repute and scope, that is. One might even describe its pescatory cosmology as holistic
eating leek and rocket right now 7/10
A nice mushroom risotto soup from Pret. Yerm yerm!
