If you are pregnant and travel to Ireland, this can happen:
At least I live in the UK where stuff like this couldn't-
Our next HEALTH minister: http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/local-national/northern-ireland/dups-jim-wells-abortion-should-be-ruled-out-for-rape-victims-16202088.html
that's so sad.
this fucking world.
but i can't say i'm surprised.
I also have a strong reason to believe that abortion companies provide sex education programmes and contraceptives with the intention that their advice and contraceptives are designed to fail specifically so that they can increase their abortion revenue.
actually shead a few tears :(
being stubborn about beliefs even when it's not in peoples best interest to do so is just about the worst thing you can do.
not everyone who is Irish and a Catholic feels the current abortion laws should be upheld.
but I'd feel ashamed still, it's like when someone from your friends goes on to do something moronic and it paints you all with the same brush, you end up feeling ashamed being associated with them.
but not ashamed.
there aren't any words to cover just how abysmal, really.
Absolutely awful. It staggers me that so many in Ireland cling so staunchly to Catholicism, either directly as a faith or as a loose set of punitive morals, given what the Church has done to so many people over the last few centuries.
I can't process this.
I think Irelands first abortion clinic (or it have have been Northern Ireland it was on breakfast and I wasn't fully awake) only just opened the otehr week. Cue lot's of propests and down with this sort of thing.
They said people had to come to mainland Britain* for abortions as if they asked their doctor they often got told ''there's nothing I can do'' and tat was it.
(Thinking it was prob Northern Ireland then)
