some radge cunt has taxed my fucking chair
Just got Local Natives tickets for Valentines Day.
Gonna quit my job in a bit.
But I'm technically out of contract as of this week so it seems like the best time to do it.
I've been 'interning' here for 9 months now, on 3 month contracts, for minimum wage. I was told when I started that I'd be on £20k after 3 months. Gave them the benefit of the doubt too many times. I've just been offered another 2 months on minimum wage to 'tie me over til the new year'. Not having it.
Basically my role has been to huge amounts of work that other people don't want to do on massive projects, not really 'interning' at all, just working for shit money. Yesterday we had an all agency meeting where they explained our growth and all the money we were making, but apparently I can't be taken on due to a 'hiring freeze'.
Also I just absolutely hate the job, when I started I was meant to move round all different departments to get a feel for the industry, in the end they just chucked me in Planning and left me there cos they needed me to do all the shitty work that other people can't be bothered to do.
all I've done for months now is complain about it all the time. It's just not healthy. I'm fed up of being around my friends and doing nothing but complaining.
hope you find something else soon.
Done it. Already feel better. Just next week to go!
Is it a bit depressing to go on Valentines day?!
Good luck. I would like to quit my job today.
Unfortunate coincidence, will still be amazing. Annoyed I couldn't get tickets for their Hoxton show but I'm seeing them at ATP that weekend anyway.
Thank you, all done, went much more smoothly than I imagined, my head of dept basically said 'completely fair enough, best of luck'. He's one of the good ones to be fair.
it was kind of surreal, they were like 8 and discussing the merits of the leads performance whilst singing snippets of songs
They're far too confident.
presentation at 11:15, then going on a flat crawl this evening. YEAHHHHHHH
getting the train to Bridgeton should be eventful.
although St Mungo's is absolutely lethal
i still feel rubbish. moan moan moan.

Charging my iPod and being hungover. Does anyone want to give me a house or let me live with them. I'll tidy up a bit and cook you cheese scones in return. Maybe even do some washing up too.
wearing them now but just bought some online, fuck going to shoe shops.
Hoping to hear one way or another about a job interview I had on Monday, it be good to know before the weeekend...
Going to see some non-league footie on Saturday followed by the pub, should be fun.
the front cover was a chaffinch sitting on a doughnut.
40 minutes in to a possible 11 day working week. Nothing specific to look forward to this weekend either.
I might go and throw myself off the roof once I've finished my tea.
No real plans tongiht, i'm working my way through a blaxploitation marathon so will probably hit that tonight.
Might go see Argo tomorrow then my friend is having a Winter BBQ which I don't think is a thing
Tomorrow I have to go to my boss's house for dinner. I'm going to have half a glass of red wine then sit quietly not setting fireto the place or perving on his daughter.
for God's sake, shag his daughter.
09.45 and they're still not here.
pretty hungover, man.
got a coldsore on my lip today
Why is it Addison Lee drivers have about as much experience as a 17 yr old with a learned permit? I've had to redirect my driver 2 times already because the sat nav was taking us around the longest route known to man. Went to a gig last night with a guy friend who for some reason when we hang out always feels like an awkward first date. Can anyone shed some light on this please?
Who are you selling chicken to?
They're one of my clients.
Also has Taco Bell on the signs outside. Can you ask them if they're bringing Taco Bell to Woking any time soon? Cheers in advance.
I’m 2nd most senior member of staff in the office. Manager is off beginning of next week and I have to manage the office for 2 days- which is fine, no problems with that. However, we had a new staff member start this week, and have another one start on Monday, so I have to manage two loads of different inductions and my own workload, whilst trying to clear my inbox by Wednesday Evening as I’m off to rome for 5 days.
I really don’t understand why she hired two people then decided to be off on their first weeks.
Also, tonight is my father's annual whiskey night- Members of my family and friends come over, each with a bottle of whiskey. We sample all of them and choose a winner.
Each year has a theme. Last years was blended whiskeys, this year is non-Scottish Whiskey
I have lots of Rome recs but they can be summarised thus- walk around lots. You'll turn a corner and BAM be confronted by something jawdropping. And eat in the restaurants in the back streets and not the main squares.
I have a Corn Whiskey and my uncle has a Swedish one.
cheers for the tips. I did an Ancient History degree so there's LOADS of stuff I want to try and see. Take your point about the restaurants though!
So frigging excited!
Might get some this lunchtime, but fancy something a bit more premium than tesco doughnuts.. I wonder if Waitrose do them...
Made my boss quite happy by buying some tickets for a National Theatre Live thing next year from him.
Going back to my parent's house this weekend with the gf. My aunt from Malaysia will be there, so we can discuss some of our Malaysia itinerary with her. Also looking forward to catching up with friends as I'm quite rarely in that part of the world these days.
Drank 2 bottles of wine, got home well late.
Surprisingly enough, I feel absolutely dreadful
I went to see Dan Shears play at Nambucca last night. I love his voice more than anything. I want to devour it.
Off to Oxford tonight then? Are you excited? :D
and has made me want to spend the weekend nosying around galleries.
into hour 27 or something now
Fucking sugar in my tea AGAIN
Need a beer. Anyone drinking in C-town tonight?
I've found some cheapish flights. Worth going for a few days?
Charming typically Polish old town and it has quite a lot of historical points of interest (it's where WW2 officially started). You can go on a canal boat trip where the boat gets pulled up a grassy hill on tracks before being deposited back into the canal.
booked some flights for january
really cheap actually
but it'll be COLD
veering between wanting to die and feeling like I am going to die.
other than that, I'm good, cheers.
Had some little bit of bad news this morning and it's making me want to see averyone and give them a hug (I'm fine, like)
it's a real cliffhanger
I think I live in London now. Like properly. How's about that cinema trip you sly old viper?
(I'll overlook that viper remark)
Let's see something vaguely arty, next week or week after?
has infamous russian troll been here, or is it just fucked?
Now signed off until 19th, FFS. Just watched the Machinist, maybe not THE best film to watch given my current mental state :/
Listening to the new How to Destroy Angels EP, then the new Deftones album again (think i've fallen out of love with them a bit :( )
fridays and sundays are my days off
trying to stop myself from spending online
However the arena itself sucked, the setlist was weirdly paced, and most people around me were not digging it unfortunately.
