and is anyone going to lie and say they died something? doesn't happen.
it's not dyeing that's the problem much any more, it's getting black sock fluff all over things.
I try and wash the same hue together, also.
I dyed my whites blue. FACT.
gf demanded a second white wash. now there is like 1 tshirt, 1 pair of socks and 1 gruds that needs washing but there just aren't enough whites in the world for a full load
1 gruds 1 socks 1 tshirt isn't a half load, is it?
Half load? Towels? Bedding?
And it's true! I will wear one of the turquise items when I come to Manchester.
So much big talk. You never come to Manchester
my bottom sheets are white though. that's a good idea. chers.
they just end up looking grubby if you don't
it's actually credible that anyone tries to dry anything indoors
also radiators :D
i do like the feeling of a tshirt after it's been on the radiator tho
don't have outdoors, cat_race. We would if we could :(
we just can't dry our clothes there.
Apparently drying indoors causes too much moisture and gives people with asthma (pussies) problems. I dry inside in winter mainly because drying outside is pretty much impossible. Just open a few windows and blast the heating, done in no time.
and it got much worse every time I dried clothes or had a shower. Google reliably informed me he was probably allergic to mould spores which get all churned up by the damp :(
this could be the answer to why CG sneezes ALL THE FUCKING TIME. He always has washing drying indoors.
have a look at the mould spores bit here: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Allergies/Pages/Prevention.aspx
hadn't thought of that, but that was probably mouldy and damp too...
Sometimes when stuff isn't quite dry and stays a bit damp and then fucking stinks.
but when it's really cold and wet like it is at the moment and i have no tumble drier and i'm too poor to go to the laundrette what choice do i have?
Only if there are enough white things to make up a whole load. I have never had issues with things going pink due to being washed with a red sock, I think that only happens in bad American sitcoms.
my whites are still white
possibly an improvement
Everything went dark grey. Every since then I've been careful with my laundry.
i'm off. have a good weekend everyone
Depends what white item it is. If its just a shitty band T, i'll chuck it in with a colour catcher. Comes out white still.
How does the dye know to go to the colour catcher rather than another item of clothing?
Don't question it
Id rather just revert to the old tried and tested method of washing white together.
and have ruined various items of my wifes wardrobe.
(Thinly veiled I have a wife comment)
and throwing your brand-new brightly coloured items into a mixed wash.
I don't own much that hasn't already been washed for a number of years but I made sure to wash a new purple jumper with darks, just in case.
and had to throw away, so always do seperates. Am I actually typing this?
and thus, in 10 years of being a grown up, i've dyed two lots of washing, each time due to having shitty primark clothes.
i can live with these numbers
Anything under 60 and you wont get the grubbiness away from the collars on shirts, etc.
