Was worried about Parkinson and Palin tbh.
that's quite the read
truly astounding stuff
or just D
can I get the 411? (or whatever that cool expression all da kids are using is)
Cue much speculation.
Assuming they get clearance from their lawyers.
who fucks plates of jelly
by the looks of things
if we've learnt anything from the previous allegations, then it is going to be someone who "looks a bit iffy".
nervous about revalations of what she got up to with Jimmy.*
*this is a guess DiS lawyers.
if they have evidence or strong suggestions an MP was involved in abuse would be to inform the police immediately. Not put it on a TV programme.
but what would they do if Police were involved ?
so I'm sure he'd have talked to the police, or the police would know where to find it.
If you are a bit ghoulsih and want to know, this article should set you on the right path...
from what I understand though, the Politician in question was allegedly involved in the North Wales care home Paedophile ring that was investigated in 2000 in the Lost in Care report
found this too
it all looks VERY wonky
The Welsh Secretary at the time was allegedly involved in the cover up, if not the incidents.
Maybe it's the paedophile ring that the BBC were homing in on. The groping incident was already being reported on a few indie news websites last week which might be why the politician's name has come up in relation to this.
if this is true then not only was David Icke right but, well, wow
I can't imagine what the outcome would be
But if you google the name of the person they're interviewing you'll see the allegation as one of the first or second results (although you can't open the article)
But I was talking about a separate allegation made against a senior politician that was reported - albeit in very few places - last week.
The Newsnight allegation is far more serious and disturbing
though obviously his allegations should also be pursued and reported
Wonder if/when we'll ever get to the bottom of the Dunblane stuff too?
If these allegations against senior Conservatives stick will the Tories hit back with Dunblane and accuse Blair, Brown & Straw of a cover up?
can't begin to think what the outcomes might be
I just initially thought it was the other one the BBC were chasing...
If she's involved in any capacity... Crazy. Though anything seems possible right now.
that's why he sells them all those crisps.
But when Joey Barton was having a breakdown in twitter at him
He said "we all know about the skeletons in your closet but no ones allowed to say it". Have always wondered what he meant
but if it has to be anyone, let it be E**c Pi***es.
But then I'm assuming a criminal investigation will be brought any day now.
if the BBC are reporting allegations from a first hand source who signs an affidavit
but I guess powerful QCs are frightening folk and the risks are big
the ball's in Call Me Dave's court now to meet with the victim and hear his call for a renewed inquiry or a re-examination or re-opening of the previous one
but it seems clear a cover up was - and still is - in play
that stuff about pulping the reports from Clwd because of the insurers refusing to sanction publication was just shocking
some more here from Scallywag's editor, written in 2000 after the Waterhouse inquiry published its findings
Since the only way for the BBC to defend their claim would be via proving it to be true. And a signed affadavit does not do that.
This whole case is fascinating and disturbing and should be investigated as far as it can, but it's not the place of the media to decide who is a criminal and who isn't. They don't have a good track record after all:
but how does one force an investigation into the goings on of a powerful and connected Lord when one is at the bottom rung of the social scale without enlisting an institution through which to broadcast one's voice?
if anyone's fussed.
MENTAL stories flying around online. I fucking love conspiracies.
But it occurs to me one of the reasons the Political Gay/child abuse ring conspiracy makes me uneasy is that it's always been a traditional slur against gay people, to accuse homosexuality of being equivalent with child abuse. I don't know where these rumours started, or the motives for doing so, but it all has that nasty homophobic tinge to it.
and abuse in general by people in positions of trust and responsibility
and about covering up that abuse
unless I've got solid evidence to the contrary.
following the various links in this thread and reading up on this whole sordid affair. Hard to know where the twisted reality descends into conspiracy nutjob stuff, but in any case there's clearly been some really fucked up stuff going on involving people in serious positions of power. Incredibly frightening stuff, definitely belongs behind the scary door. Good to see Tom Watson taking it up as his next project: http://twitter.com/tom_watson - more power to him, I'd be pretty terrified if I was in his shoes right now.
that this is eventually gonna peter out and we wont get any kind of justice or change, much like the phone hacking stuff?
it petered out with michael jackson, and pete t*******d, but... with politicians people wont forget so quickly i suspect. celebrities always end up getting a pass if they're loved enough
don't recall hearing anything on the news this morning.
the claimed extent and alleged level of cover up is depressing. as is how plausible a lot of it seems, if you can stomach the idea of a cover up without dismissing yourself as buying into some sort of conspiracy theory.
so many questions. stuff defo seems to have been going on. but to what degree? and who has been covering for who? and why?
and mystifying in so many ways
either this is going to be dealt with and some kind of purge done or (as seems sadly much more likely) pieces of information are going to come out in dribs and drabs as and when key players reach their end - and even then there will always be the doubt of not having been tested in a court of law
one thing that's bothering me though is how this relates to what is going on now and specifically just how public so-called public inquiries are
we've seen with Hillsborough and now with Waterhouse how the notion of the remit of a public inquiry has been used to define a boundary behind which crucial clues/evidence/facts can sit unnoticed and how powers that be - whether they be Politicians, Police, even judges - can conspire to keep information hidden
What then are we to expect from Leveson? It would seem the same thing as afoot there. The true nature of the relationship between No.10 & NI and especially between Cameron & Brooks is the topic of much debate. 150 missing texts and emails?
Then I can't help coming back to Dunblane. Some portions of evidence sealed for 100 years. Why?
Thomas Hamilton - known paedophile - has his gun ownership licence approved by virtue of a reference from George Robertson - later Secretary of Defence & Head of NATO ffs
They argued in Robertson's house. Robertson's son was a member of his boy's club. It's alleged they were Lodge brothers.
it's all very, very twisted - who knows what to believe?
Maybe the Murdoch media and others have such a strong hold over UK politics because they have stories in reserve, cards up their sleeve ??
I'm just worried that the public thinks this is a story about Jimmy Savile & how things used to be in the past, in the 70s, when things were apparently so different.
Because really this is a story that runs right up to the present day and we could all end up in 30 years time like so many Paul Gambaccini's saying "Well, we all knew the rumours but it was the 2010s. Things were different then. Nobody really knew what political conspiracies were. I mean, everyone was doing it. It seemed normal." or some other bollocks
But no-one/very few people seem to be even asking them at any sort of level that punctuates general public consciousness. A month of Jimmy Savile hate does not an investigation make.
They're pretty big questions with potentially massive consequences. So an obvious conclusion is to give done sort of credence to the theory that there's some sort of cover-up that is operating at the very highest levels (and able to continue to maintain an almost blanket silence due to fear amongst, well, amongst just about everyone, it seems).
But all that's currently visible and out in the open are discussions that can very easily be dismissed as, e.g., tittle tattle without evidence getting bandied around by jumped up indie pricks (on here) our the rantings of lunatic lizard believers (on the David Icke forums - who may well be mentallers for all I know, but the couple of threads I saw called a whole bunch of the Saville stuff, and linked it to a wider picture, months before it blew up a couple of weeks ago).
I dunno. I kinda want to be able to shrug stuff like this off as mere speculation, but there are too many 'yeah buts' to it all.
In other 'what is happening behind the scenes to drive this story' news: The Observer/Guardian continued their anti-Scottish independence propaganda yesterday by channelling the Mail's bare faced tactics of publishing the story they want to publish, and facts be damned. http://nationalcollective.com/2012/11/04/better-together-old-news-today/ A little off topic, granted, but it's typical of the kind of blanket distortion of reality that makes me very uneasy about trusting the mainstream media* to supply a full story - they have too many vested interests that prevent them from being properly reliable.
*complaining about the 'mainstream media' feels like such a paranoid thing to do, but hey ho.
that's the key phrase really, no one believes in media neutrality anymore. When not all of the facts can be reported then the tendency is to question the ulterior motives in telling only part of the story
Some things are facts though
More than 200 children in care in North Wales were abused in 40 different care homes during the 70s & 80s
but the victims were not allowed to go on public record with the names of their abusers nor were they allowed to discuss any abuse which happened outside of the care homes
and this is weird
<< Was there a paedophile ring?
Rumours of a ring of abusers, including prominent public figures, have been rife. But the report says there is no credible evidence of any such network. It also dismisses suggestions that freemasonry was implicated in what went on. The report does, however, find //there were paedophiles in Wrexham and Chester, many of whom were known to each other, who abused boys and shared information about victims.// >> (my emphasis)
surely this is contradictory? Surely this is a paedophile ring?
i just read up on it. he was never hamilton's mp, and hamilton successfully sued the newspapers who claimed that he was involved
Hamilton killed himself at Dunblane
how can you (the Scottish Herald) prove that the allegations were true if the evidence is sealed for 100 years?
in a libel case of this kind the burden of proof is on the publisher
I DUNNO WHAT TO BELIEBE NO MORE
secrecy breeds suspicion innit
it all centres around a report written in 1991 - five years before Dunblane by by a Paul Hughes, who was at the time a detective sergeant with the Central Scotland Police
it was quoted from during the inquiry and appeared to be concerning some allegations about Hamilton & his gun licence and reputation but the document was never submitted to the final public report and is sealed for 100 years
But I've no idea what's going on and at times it gets a bit *we're through the looking glass here people*
For simpletons like myself, could someone please provide a concise, bulleted list of what's happening?
I'm sure there's some comedy thing (Wayne's World) where they're talking about Vietnam and doing an impression of a traumatised veteran and they say - 'You weren't there, man, they were in the trees... they WERE the trees,' which is what I was alluding to (the paedophiles are so widespread, they're not just hiding in the trees, they are the trees), but I can't find evidence of this original Vietnam riff anywhere, so perhaps I made it all up.
