Can we have a fashion thread?

marilyninthesky [Edit] [Delete] 95 replies 17:28, 15 October '12

What are you wearing today? I'm trying to find a good on line site as my cousin is getting married on the weekend and I have no outfit. No idea of what to wear. Suggestions welcome. The theme in purple, but I don't really wear purple.

What was your last purchase?

  • Bought some work clothes for a business trip last week.

Got some nice cords, a new v-neck jumper and a nice blue blazer type thing, all from H&M. Hopefully will now not have to buy more clothes for many months.

It's alright, isn't it? A bit tight, but it's alright, isn't it? You know, people will think, "Wow, it's a La Croix!", okay? I just can't find anything to go with it.

  • Today I wear:

    Leopard print leggings
A long dark grey sleeveless top with a tiger face on it
A aztec black and white print crop top vest under the tiger shirt
    Brown flat boots
    Dark blue long baggy cardi
    Hair in bun
    Plum lipstick

  • i'm wearing my 'special occasion' dress

because I realized i actually had no work clothes at my boyfriends....not even any to wash. So wearing my special dress with black tights and my heeled brogues. I feel pretty slim and nice in it but its kind of ruining it being at work. I also have tummy pain and swollen glands and a sore throat and I feel a bit sick so can't wait to get home and get in my PJs. I need a onesie and a job where I can wear one to work.

  • As mentioned in the Monday thread, I am apparently in 'geek-chic' mode today

Navy chord shirt, grey jeans, brown Timberlands. If anything I look like a 90s throwback who's learned to tuck their shirt in. I think they literally just said I looked geeky because I'm wearing my glasses for once.

This seems to have really irked me. I think it's because of those fucking 'Loserville' posters on the tube. That's basically what they're comparing me to. Might as well end it all now.

  • Now that it's jumper season I'm getting loads of use out of my

Guernsey by Guernsey Woollens. Traditional style with slightly raised neck, nice rich shade of bottle green as everyone tends to get navy or cream. Oiled wool so rain practically bounces off it.

Don't need anymore streetwear, but fancy a black 2 button suit from Reiss and this Prince of Wales Check coat from M&S, that should take care of most of my tax rebate.

    • Want some new Hudson boots, can't afford them

Swear they've hiked the prices by about 50% in two years.

Was looking at the Clarks website for winter boots last night though, they have some rubber soled brogue boots for around £80, seems pretty reasonable.
