jail seems harsh, though
It seems these days, saying offensive things is riskier than beating people up. Which is clearly fucked up.
Terrible, silly thing to do but think a jail sentence is harsh to be honest.
what a terrible cunt
i fear that dangerous precedents are being set by these cases of people being jailed for doing or saying things that are in bad taste but probably illegal.
Ultimately, if it sensds out a message that people should behave themselves, it probably does more harm than good, but still...
I'd be interested to hear exactly how this goes against the terms of a suspended charge of cannabis possession, though.
* probably does more good than bad.
think it's best if i go and lie down.
where he was subject to an exclusion order.
silencing all voices of dissent!
I'm also against this current spate of jailings for people being cunts on Facebook or Twitter, it all seems ridiculous to me.
It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words.
In fact, ignoring that two policewomen died senselessly at the hands of someone who single-handedly gives question to the abolition of the death sentence makes it even more pathetic.
My knee-jerk reaction is indeed send him to bum rape prison, or drown him in a vat of his own shit, but actually even just on a simple economic basis it doesn't make sense. Villify him in the area, make him do some serious community service so something worthwhile comes out of it and tag him.
It's occurred to me he may have been put in prison for his own protection, doubt he can go down his local pub these days.
terrible idea for a limited edition tee. worse than those shackle and chain Adidas
He's been sent to jail for a previous offence, not just for the tshirt.
*Thew was also sentenced to a further four months for breaching the conditions of an earlier 12-month suspended sentence for the possession of cannabis.*
He got four months for the T-shirt and another four for the dope.
can't remember ever seeing one like "given name does bad thing" it's usually "chippenham woman trampled to death by cows"
what's that about then?
but the idea that we're throwing someone into prison for wearing a shirt like this is a bit uncomfortable.
i really hate how people seem to get ridiculous punishments for shit which is just plain insensitive, but people who do stuff that's actually detrimental to society get off scot free all the time. like by the sounds of things, this guy probably is a threat to society, but not for wearing some insensitive t-shirt (which does, albeit, probably say a lot about the lifestyle he leads)
you can say it's harsh but personally i don't think it'd be harsh if he got hit by a bus and lost his limbs
