best places to buy it?
brands to trust/avoid?
which bits to budget on and which to pay top whack?
do you like skiing?
to carve some snow into your uncool skiing face.
Measured in levels like 5,000, 10,000, 20,000 etc. Don't go lower than 10,000 if you can help it if you wanna stay warm & dry. This is the main thing to look at if you're looking at budget stuff I reckon.
If you can find a TK Maxx that has ski stuff in it's a great place to look. I need some new ski trousers and that's the first place I'll look. Otherwise, look online - places like Snow & Rock are painfully expensive.
I have a Levi's x 686 collaboration ski jacket and (along with my skis) it's basically my favourite thing in the world. This is of no real use to you, just wanted to talk about my ski jacket really.
and expect to get some skiing gear advice!
Or can you?
the other one was equally dull.
If you're going to the resort in the offseason (ie now) then you can buy it there. It can be quite cheap. Otherwise it's very expensive.
I'll probably be shopping in the UK. Not expecting anything to be cheap :(
for skiing, the boots are by far the most important thing you'll purchase. Different brands will fit better depending on the shape of your feet. Heat-moulded boots are a must. Go speak to your local ski-boot dealer and try some on. Don't just buy them off the internet.
I wouldn't bother buying actual skis, unless you're going to be skiing ever year for more than a week.
Don't skimp on gloves either. Gotta keep your delicate little fingers warm.
They all look fucking horrible. Not like my cool baggy snowboarding stuff. Woah! Look at me!
And goggles. I always forget how much expensive crap you need for skiing.
I'm gonna be skiing every week forever/until spring, but just need the basics to start.
Ellis Brigham/snow and rock/two seasons. That kinda thing.
go round Meths house and have a look at the bottom of his laundry basket.
Fuck this place then.
They're pretty good.
I thought you lived in Luxembourg or something.
is this a thread about drugs?
still find it funny
depending on snow tonight
Tignes and val are linked anyway.
most resorts don't open till next week
(i live in the alps).
same as everyone else really

YOur very survival will depend on the quality of your skiing gear.
my £2 gloves from primark are holding up well.
