Saw this at the weekend. One of those films that where you love some stuff, but it is also deeply flawed.
Good things- lovely dialogue, Sean Penn's character, the locations and photography, the atmosphere, the sweet-natured humour, Frances McDormand (obvs)
Bad things- the plot elements that were opened and then just left, the length (20 mins too long)- in fact most of its problems could have bee resolved through editing, the ending
Really enjoyed it but I can't remember the last time I loved a film so much and was aware of so many things which didn't work. I love flawed films anyway.
