i don't understand. it's not that hard
makes it sound like he thinks gay marriage will accidentally lead to the rise of the machines who will destroy society
I can see why you might not be in favour of Gay Marriage, though I don't hold those views myself.
But specifically attending an event to show your opposition to it seems completely alien to me.
tories - tend to hate everyone not like them (even if it is completely undeserved and unwarrented and unfair)
socialists - tend to find value in everyone (even if it is completely undeserved and unwarrented
Obviously jesus was a socialist, why can the right wing bible bashers see that?
Its all mad
I'm sure there are some, but then there are also plenty of left wingers who hate those not like them too.
as it is often very prettily wrapped up in the best politeness money can buy.
I agree that a lot of the left could appear to be hate filled, and that is correct, but that hate is spawned by policies and attitude.
The left do not want to get rid of the privilaged and very rich, they only want to get rid of that that makes them very rich and privilaged.
The socialists want the right wing and rich and privilaged to be more like themselves, more equal.
The right wing tories do not want everyone else to be more like themselves,
they do not want bangladeshi families for neighbours,
they do not want nigerians for neighbours,
they do not want married gay couples for neighbours,
they want to go to exclusive places that only people like them go.
They justify this by saying that they want their dream to be everyone elses dream.....yeah just so long as it stays a dream for most, they dont want everyone to succeed....they might want everyone to work hard for theirs and their mates businesses, but unless Mr Odemwingei and Mrs Patel actually speak english nicely and wear nice western suits and have a reasonably sized family, they most assuredly do not want them living next door.
Perhaps its not hate with all tories, maybe it can be fear, dissapproval, revulsion.
130,000. That aside: 'The group have also won the backing of backbench MP David Davis. He told a fringe meeting in Birmingham yesterday: "Gay marriage is an issue for the church, not the state."' Hmm.
then marriage is surely an acknowledgement of love and being together and not crowding up the streets with proprietorial gay clubs and disease or whatever the logic is why they don't like gays.
