lets talk about clothes we want and clothes we've bought recently and ask for clothes advice
saw it in august but didnt buy it. stupid. it will be sold out now.
loads of other items: need. i love new clothes.
I never wear trousers to work as usually they make me look like I have a HUGE camel toe but these don't, thankfully.
I also bought some good stuff at the weekend including a nice pair of PJ bottoms and a nice houndstooth jumper and a black clutch,
Bought a new caot and wore it with a new tie and shirt yesterday. I took a picture of it cos I'm a ponce. Looked like this:
and I'd agree with you but it works. IT WORKS OK?!
First you have to know the rules. Then you can break them.
nice beard, too. if not, a little ginge.
but some people can make this work. I know a guy who wears that sort of stuff all the time, plaids and stripes and whatnot. And it works on him too, but I couldn't do it. Maybe it's an issue of pure bravado...
wore, in public, a leopard print shirt, green trousers, a waistcoat and his girlfriend's scarf as a belt, and it worked. It's all about confidence and balls.
if anything it complements the ginger
Then you get to look like this
I think I look the bee's tits but I don't dare wear it in public in case I've made a giant mistake.
To actual product or photo
I'm far from XL haha
wouldn't work on me though.
you gotta find your style and go with it. Turns out mine is pretend posh heritage.
don't like the cut. well, I do, but they don't blow me away.
stayed at my pals over the weekend and we ALWAYS do a clothes swap. he dipped into my bag on arrival and decided what he wanted and I did the same in his wardrobe.
he got my best merino wool jumper *sad face*
http://www.marksandspencer.com/M-Woman-Double-Breasted-Skirted/dp/B008EPXROY This one, in blue.
I need new work clothes, but I don't like shopping for stuff like that. I'd rather buy a new party dress.
Mainly the military coat for men.
I'd wear one but I look like a twat.
bit green tho, imo. like green....just not that green. olive green, perhaps. looks super cosy tho.
Like more pea. My shopping pal told me I needed to introduce brighter colours into my wardrobe.
stupid as it may sound, if I ever won a bit of money it'd go on clothes.
I'd go to Hugo Boss and buy the store.
Got some new blue jeans a dark grey shirt which has since become my favourite shirt as it's quite difficult to tell how fat I am when I wear it.
best chain store easily
The clothes last for ages as well.
There's one with hearts, one with stars, one with bows, a few others and they all look good. The problem is, they're £30, so not a huge amount, but quite a lot for a fairly thin jumper with a design that could easily be a Primary £8 dealy. Worth it or not? Eg here's the stars one http://www.marksandspencer.com/Slash-Neck-Long-Sleeve-Jumper/dp/B008404ZYA
Showed it to my mum, she said god you're becoming boring
but the star one above it...no.
Really good shop for mens togs. One of the few shops I can go in and want to buy 75% of the clothes in there. Just bought myself an excellent smart shirt from there
The last couple of times I've been in there's not been a single thing I've wanted to try.
although i'm all for new minimalism. hate tack.
But there's so much mint green and peach.
The clothes fit me well (I'm tall), and it's affordable and decent quality. Some of the style is a bit Euro, mind.
Just find them different (generally in a good way) from other shops. Some of the Euro styling means they are rather slim-fit, which isn't always ideal.
I've got a work do in a couple of weeks and I know the evening (smart casual dress) will be a room full of blokes wearing suit trousers and assorted coloured shirts. I just want to look a bit individual.
I don't like everything, but I reckon about three quarters of all the clothes I've bought in the last couple of years is from Zara, cos of the reasons above.
some of the shirts and jackets only sleezy greek men in clubs could get away with.
They do odd number jeans sizes too, which is handy.
I went in yesterday though and their new mens stuff seemed kind of shit. I guess it's sort of in between their Summer and Winter stuff though so all the random bits and bobs get left in the middle.
Was the word I was looking for here ^
Oh no hang on, I bought s leather jacket and a nice green silk dress when I was in manchester a couple of weeks ago (when my coat got nicked).
I'm going to buy osme new winter stuff soon but i don't know what yet.
(except i've just remembered I left it at the unsuitable boy's house on monday morning. fuck.)
And here is the dress. It is also at said boy's house. FUUUCK. ALong with my tote bag.
love Alll Saints stuff. £250 for a jacket is OK, but I was looking at some knitwear the other day and it was £110. fuck that shiiiit, man.
not much change from a grand, I reckon. he was in his 40's too. grow up, mate
seriously,, some of you guys are insane
However, having worked for All Saints, this one won't last for long much like the rest of their clothes.
Actually, I think I've already lost it.
Bought a white Gingham-ish button down collar shirt and navy lamb's wool crew neck jumper there on Friday. It's only a matter of time until I buy a jacket from there, took a shine to their padded shirt jackets when I was last there. Could do with another pair of jeans and Uniqlo's always fit pretty well, actually. SHOPPING SPREE!
Fred Perry should have a decent range of long sleeved polos in stock soon, too.
If you're a medium in H&M and Zara (for t-shirts/tops) would you be a medium at Uniqlo?
because I find there's no consistency in their sizing at all- I manage to be S, M and L in there. Not a fan of 100% needing to try things on every time.
I'm M in everything I've ever worn in Uniqlo. You'd probably be fine.
bought 3 identical jumpers as they fitted me like a glove. now, they're bordering on too short. you can see the top of my pants now, so not all bad.
1) They always used to fade like a fuck within a month or so
2) They've changed them all now so they can fuck off
Yes, please do be careful.
although and hopefully this'll help....for trousers anyway. a 32w in H&M is more like a 30 anywhere else
I'm medium most places but small there in shirts and t-shirts. Good shop though.
might start going retro with the undies. start a trend
i bet they are stained yellow as well right? you're disgusting
they fit me in the shop, but they're too big for me everywhere else.
i'm confident they'll fit there
so it doesn't look like i'm asking dk about underpants
Fine, be like that.
but they're £400+ and I could get two pairs of Meermin for that sort of money so might get these instead: http://meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=1958 - but can't try them on beforehand (the Cleverley's feel like they were made for my feet) and know I'll end up having to send them all the way back to Spain to get a size down/up.
Might meet in the middle and get a pair of Crockett & Jones or something.
Also want a decent mac (maybe Aquascutum) as the one I bought from Zara a couple of years ago is falling apart, but again, it's big moolah to be spending.
haven't had a bag in a year. the one i got last was PU so i really need a new one. i can't decide if i genuinely want a backpack or if it's just because it's practical. i think i'm going to finally get (after like three years) this louis vuttion inspired bag http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n542/vivi_leather/ebay/wineboston_8.jpg
but in red http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n542/vivi_leather/ebay/wineboston_3.jpg
want a coat although don't need one. i've had ones like these but in black a few years ago and they were both great http://tinyurl.com/9d6xqey and http://static.zara.net/photos//2012/I/0/1/p/1255/204/401/1255204401_1_1_1.jpg
http://www.monki.com/Content/ProductContent/0138077008/0138077008_1_3.jpg this jumper. got one similar in pastel pink.
love this but it will look TERRIBLE on me http://static.zara.net/photos//2012/I/0/1/p/7881/838/800/7881838800_1_1_3.jpg
http://www.cosstores.com/Image/ProductImage/0140531002/0140531002_1_0.jpg little bit obsessed with looking at snot green stuff
I just bought some snot green trainers. Late night ebaying, when will i learn.
Most clothes I buy now seems to be from Suit, Folk, Uniqlo or ASOS own brand.
Got a nice red/pink chambray shirt with attention to detail like tan colour buttons, rather than the white ones most chambray shirts down the high street have.
The jeans look stylish there too. But I don't know anything about their quality or fit so I haven't taken the risk yet.
It has four stripes, in four colours, like so:
and some clarks boots which I think are destroying my feet
Does he also come without the beard?
and now I keep seeing other people wearing them everywhere I go. I walked past a man in the pub who had one and gave him a little nod but he snubbed me.
I had someone a couple of weeks back accuse me of copying them for wearing one.
£15 postage paid.
so treated myself to this jumper bit.ly/PWrT6G and these boots bit.ly/PPbGzk , got discount on the Jumper but dont have much of my bonus left.
I had to buy it, also been looking for somthing similar to this uniqlo jacket http://shop.uniqlo.com/uk/goods/070484 that they dont do anymore anybody got any suggestions?
i've had three different £20 copies. all have completely fallen apart. i can't commit to saving.
I want a new jumper for winter but i cant find any nice ones. I suspect i will finally buy one in march.
Looks a bit like a poncho/cape in that picture though, it looks a bit more normal on.
Also, this polo + jumper from Ted Baker:
Also want an Adidas Originals hoodie, in green or black:
Unfortunately I can't afford any of these things.
Not had a pair of Tellason but heard good things.
I've got a pair of Cheaney brogues. They're good quality for the price point when you can get a pair for around £200, but to be honest at close to £300 you'd be better off lumping another £20 or so on it and getting some Crockett & Jones or Trickers or something.
Apart from that Adidas hoodie, which is atrocious.
possibly a trench coat, although i don't actually know what trench coats are. If they're the coats with the really thin fabric, then... not them. But ones that are like them but with thicker fabric. And black. Or just dark generally, i guess navy blue or khaki would do.
I looked on asos and they dont have any except one costing £190 that i'm not sure if i even like anyway. Double breasted stuff seems pretty wanky.
I'd do high street
So Zara / H&M / Topman / River Island etc. Also go into a big John Lewis. Worth it, but if you're of a small frame - forget it.
but I really like that t-shirt.
they were set up in hamilton
A quick google of his name provides evidence of his snappy dress sense
Fuck clothes shopping so much
I don't really buy many clothes. I wouldn't mind another totally whacky jumper from Beyond Retro
Their slim jeans are the perfect cut and fit. Always grab a couple lambswool or cashmere jumpers at the begining of fall to add to monochramatic collection.
I have alot of time for Knowledge Cotton Apparel and folk as far brands go.
Have recently picked up a blazer from Muji and a pear of dark drown desert boots from House of Fraser(leather not suede) as well.
You meant Autumn right?
Got a peacoat and some cardigans the other day. Im making a conscious effort to dress smart/ overdress again seeing as I realised that I wore sports clothes all last week :(
Dark thistle green, 3 buttons, well nice. 2nd hand but not worn at all
Bought some Autumn boots too.
Let's see if I can find a pic of them on the net
Well comfy too
It being Sweden I had to pay nearly twice as much as the price on that link though
Still, I reckon they're worth it
I've actually been looking for good black brogue boots that aren't mega costly.
One black one tan
had to borrow my mate's shoes to go to the admin office for a spare key. he gave me buckle boots to wear. they're quite cool, but the noisiest things ever.
i look amazing, trust
or it didn't happen
Feel free to PM me for fashion advice.
Stupidly expensive, but the last one that I got was about 6 years ago and I still wear it now. It's looking a bit haggered though, needs a few repairs.
and they look a really nice colour in 3 of the 5 photos but they're a completely different colour in the other 2, and also it says they're 'indigo' and indigo isn't a very nice colour, but I bought them anyway because they were on sale and I can just send them back if they're wrong.
They're the right colour. HOWEVER quite a lot of the material is frayed, so I might send them back anyway.
think you're right tho
grey is like edward off of twilight. don't make the same mistake chrisjabe did (rip mate).
that's not good
r-patz be damned
I love it
On Sunday we went shopping. Its so very cute! <3
And these shoes:
Need to find some thick knitted jumpers soon...
I love Loake, good value for money too given that they're 'proper' shoes.
Half price in tkmaxx! A few pairs of lovely Trickers knocking about too but they were almost £200 sadly...
but it's so fucking expensive, nice brogues too!
sounds like a white supremacist organisation or something
it makes me lie to my friends
it's running down my street
with white powers sneakers
on the beautiful beat of black feet
popular in America for a few years too. Crip affiliated gang members used to wear them due to the BK logos which they fondly reinterpreted as 'Blood Killer' (Killa, whatever).
I saw British Knights for the first time in forever yesterday when I ventured into a branch of JD Sports for no particular reason. They also had loads of the reinvented Airwalks and Vision.
I'm just waiting for the return of Travel Fox now.
I could easily be a crip
I got em from from some shitty local sport shop that's closing down so everything is like half price. I got these. they look a bit shit in the picture (and probably are tbh) but I think they look slightly better in real life.
mid-top skate shoes.
British Knights and gold chains
Do the prep and cabbage patch
And wear your laces all fat
Back in the day, hey hey
Hip-Hop has changed
or dry in April, for that matter
don't worry about me
just popped into clarks to see what size my feet were as I always ending up with 12.5+ and found these in a surprisingly roomy in an 11 http://www.clarks.co.uk/p/20351790
I also went to try some on last week, but they just didn't suit me. I was disappoint.
