Or half of it.
in that, if a player asks another player (e.g.) 'did you just allege that I called you a fucking black cunt' he leaves himself open to be charged with using foul & abusive language. According to the rule, the context of what is said is irrelevant.
Irrespective of my post, John Terry is still a cunt
could just say "what was that mate?" no?
with the intention of winding Ferdinand up whilst technically not being at fault. Classic (racist) playground stuff.
Not ``innocent``. Just means there wasn't enough evidence to convict him of a particular criminal offence. The verdict of a magistrate or jury is not meant to be taken as a universal truth.
Even the judge said that his story was pretty iffy
and then spent about four paragraphs talking about how robust Terry's evidence and credibility was. The magistrate's report is a pretty good example of people reading what they want out of it, and I don't exclude myself from that.
It's slightly odd how many people seem to consider a prosecution's evidence being inadequate as some kind of loophole to be exploited.
Think I'll bow out now.
Could happen to any of us
that Terry isn't a cunt who racially abused Anton Ferdinand.
It's a question of whether he used racist terms in a particular situation and what the context of the use was.
Much as I dislike Terry, I'm fairly certain he's not actually racist. But I do think if you get caught on camera using the words he was using he should be fined and banned.
But I do think he used racist language towards Anton Ferdinand
and thought, "They're trying to pin 9/11 on him?"...
