i'm watching 28 days later
but bleh music it is again
I'm usually a lurker but I'm exceptionally bored tonight. No one's about so I'm drinking Red Stripe at home.
I am off to Berlin on Monday though which will be my first holiday in about 4 years, so that's aight.
doing anything special in berlin or just chilling out?
but I also doubt it will be chilled – I've never been before so I've got a massive list of things I want to do. Lots of museums and galleries, some big touristy stuff, the abandoned soviet theme park (if it's still there) and some clubbing. Pretty excited.
The alternative is get drunk / spend money so it needs to be done sometimes
considering whether to go out. Not sure I can be mithered.
It's 9-9 at the moment after 50-odd minutes.
Decent result for the Ospreys in the end, but Scarlets were disappointing.
but it's SHITTING DOWN with rain and has been for the last 3 hours so me and the lady are going to watch some 70s Faye Dunaway movies & drink vodka instead
check out Redford's scary moles
and this one was a 15,000 capacity sell-out in their home town (kind of)
but fuck standing in 9 degrees & pouring rain for hours
Have you seen this?
but yeah, it's a very decent one as far as i can remember
Been a long week all things considered, just need to spend the evening in before a work-filled weekend interspersed with going to Anfield and hoping nothing horrible happens. I have Man Bites Dog from Lovefilm to watch, but not sure I have the energy for a thinking film. Plus the last film I watched was Dancer in the Dark, and I'm not really sure I like films any more after that.
But got a nice phonecall from a friend that I have not been talking to in a while and he offered to drop in my CV to places hiring so that I could move up to Dublin. Nice guy.
28 days later really is the best zombie movie.
Sequel to The Shining is going to released next, unrelated but not sure if it deserved it's own thread.
hey i'm arranging a halloween all nighter at my film club, starting at 5pm and finishing 1am at the earliest. showing texas chain saw massacre, halloween, nightmare on elm street and scream. YEAH.
Don't think I would have fully got it when it came out.
Seen Cabin in the Woods the other night, I really loved it. Any new enough horror/zombie films you would reccommend?
dug cabin in the woods too but it's a different kind of thing. hmmmm haven't really watched any new stuff lately that i can think of, but i tend to always recommend the norwegian horror flick cold prey on here and everyone seems to dig it (as well they fucking should do because it's a great film)
even if the infected aren't actually zombies
I love that bit in 28 Days Later when he's lying on his back underneath a tree canopy and sees a contrail from an aeroplane. I really do.
Just listening to some old Flaming Lips and cooking supper.
my plan for the evening is either to eat a full box of krave and watch sons of anarchy or eat a full box of krave and read this david byrne book what i got.
also this david byrne book what i got is the most tactile, lovely thing. if anyone was thinking of waiting until it came out in paperback don't do that.... the cover is padded like a pillow and it's all square and there are graphs and pictures and the paper stock is lovely and i don't usually care about that sort of shit but it's really good.
Not really 'in' but I'm pretty drunk already.
now watching Gok Wan's new show Baggage.
There's a man on here who claims that he is 28 and that the first film he saw in the cinema was Jurassic Park. He'll have been pretty old when that came out. Weirdo.
the first film i saw at the cinema was space jam and i'd just turned 7.
beat that loser by four years, no wonder he's desperate enough to go a dating show.
did you know the little girl who did the voice for ducky was murdered by her dad when she was 10? i remember my cousin telling me about it to freak us out. horrible shit.
that isn't even one round of drinks in London
/tenuous link to fame.
it's no Sing Date that's for sure
not cos theyre too scary or anything, just cos they're stressful and i hate stress. Can't watch breaking bad for the same reason.
What's your secret whiterussian.
as long as it's slasher/zombie flicks at least
Gonna watch Taken and eat some Percy Pigs
Gonna play the Borderlands in 10 mins.
it's that kind of night
then realised there's no beer so I can't drive to Tesco/Asda for good beer. I'm going to go across the road to see if I can find tins of lager for less than a pound each. Might sit and play with my guitar all night.
Because I have Shit To Do tomorrow morning that's nearby. I forgot to bring my phone charger or any books, so it's just INTERNETS and nothing else.
Bought a ticket to a film showing as part of a local film festival tomorrow evening, then found out it's written by/starring the guy who plays Ted in How I Met Your Mother. Fuck.
I'm going to be sat there with the Stifler expression plastered on my face for 90 minutes.
Banged on the window and told him to fuck off. He's now trying next door's door. He doesn't live there either.
I slept all day. Just awake now, laid on bed like a slug with the duvet wrapped around me. Two cats wrestling like crazy, bf reading in the corner, he's started a physics degree... Getting loads of great information since he's started it.
Going to get a pizza, maybe light a fire.. watch a film
I made a really good pun in the plus size model thread. It's going to be lost forever because the thread is dead. :(
just got home from work. there's a party i could go to tonight but you know that thing where you don't feel ill as such but you think you're going to be ill, and spending all night drinking wrongbow really won't help in that area? that.
have a cold and just been sleeping a lot for the past few days, so hopefully i'll be ok to do something fun tomorrow. would've been fine if i hadn't been out for goodbye drinks for a friend on wednesday – woke up on thursday feeling absolutely awful, and not just a mild kind of "had six or seven pints in several hours" hangover thing. eurgh.
probably going to die now
The 21st century eh.
so going to start work the Avengers Assemble boxset - first up Tony Stark referencing Myspace and living on Tracey Island in Iron Man
she's never been on a plane or out of the country before though so i won't believe it until she's here
Some arty people set up a makeshift theatre in the square that my flat looks onto, so I watched them do their thing. It involved high-school style UHT projectors and a pink mammoth costume. Something different I guess.
And I'm developing an unhealthy love of Muller rice.
I don't know if it's down to being at home all day or something else.
I hope I'm not pregnant.
Going to do a test now.
Turns out I'm just being greedy.
