she is almost as tall as that skyscraper in the background
No wonder there's still such a stigma about 'plus-sized' women.
People need to move on. Lots of fat beardy men have banging-hot chicks nowadays, and lots of 'bigger' women are quite attractive. I mean, sure, there's an underlying health issue there generally, but we need to get away from this bollocks, and you'd think we would've by now given that size 8/32" waisted gent stuff is no longer the norm.
^ Spoken like a true chubster.
That's the second time today
I must be obese then.
anything above zero is plus...
I'm proud of my ability to roll my tongue
I wrote much more and DiS has cut it out. QUOTE MARKS INCLUDED.
I did write QUOTE[How can you be proud of your height. It's not an achievement it's just genetics]ENDQUOTE
Fucking DiS. Getting screwier by the minute.
DiS is literally self-editing. It's become self aware.
also like to mention how messed up it is that they get naomi shimada (size 14) to model for the asos plus sized range (starts at size 18)
I want that skirt.
Seriously messed up that she models for a range that starts at size 18 though, way to insult your own customers.
She's probably an 8-10.
Doesn't look anything like a 16 in any of them.
her stomach is smaller than mine was when I was a size 12.
Pot belly for life!
was the rest of your body bigger than hers as well? she's not a 12, people.
DaddyorChips, YOUR TIME HAS COME
I am a 14 and I am chubbier than her all over.
Does it not make a difference that she's super tall? If you squashed her down, she'd look well porky.
Or no, she wouldn't porky? I've found a dress-size calculator and it doesn't ask for a height, just bust, waist and hip size. She'd be a proper little porkster.
Loads of mopdels who get called plus size are actually really quite small. There's no way the woman in the picture BITT links to is a 14, unless she's been photoshopped beyond recognition.
It does look like she's been airbrushed, especially her left arm above the elbow.
it's really hard to tell from that photo. this whole topic is massively frustrating to be honest. just: URGH.
Watch it, love it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxxajLWwzqY
but I will get Steve to show me it on his phone later, cheers :)
Not sure what's 'plus' about that, she looks normal?
Probs nsfw, just found out the hard (hur hur) way
it's the difference between 5'9" and 6'2" I guess
Is she not fat enough? Boo hiss etc
as seen by a perverted and lusty Doc the dwarf then sista, it ain't plus sized to me
She's modelling. She's a model. Categorisation is bullshit. It's like having 'Plus Size Marketing Assistant' as a job title.
getting all of the social kudos of using a plus-sized model
then photoshopping her, so she appears less plus-sized?
Reality huh? - never a day goes by when it doesn't tickle my testicles.
All the women that thought the fashion industry saw unnaturally skinny people as unnaturally skinny people & that they were normal are now going to have a crisis when the find out that they're clinically obese in the eyes of the fashion industry.
or whatever. look, i'm not really sure what to say here. is there a petition i can sign or something?
In the same way women on the cover of Nuts look nothing like those on the front of Vogue. Do you think that eventually men’s brains will start to find signs of sexual maturity less attractive because we’re bombarded with images that tell us that thin is attractive? I’m sure there’s been research on this, but I’d prefer to have a conversation based entirely on conjecture.
because that's a really stupid thing to say.
Fatty blew off and Skinny laughed.
Fatty rolled over and Skinny was dead.
she is technically plus-size, given that she isn't minus-(or 'negative-')size because in that situation, of course, she would be a black hole or something.
that body image problems are mostly in people's heads and a lot of people seem incapable of realising that different bodies accumulate fat or muscle in subtly different ways and thus trying to strictly fit them into a universal definition of clearly defined body sizes is counterintuitive.
