Earlier this week, Labour's Shadow Business Secretary tweeted:
"Heading to Brighton shortly with @Ed_Miliband for the TUC Conference. Our trade unions are wealth creators for this country!"
Genuinely perplexed this. How do trade unions create wealth? Is he implying that potentially higher wages for low paid workers through union activities a means of wealth creation? It's the only thing I can think of, but even that doesn't make sense.
