an island possibly
You know what's a really disappointing mixer? Dr Pepper. Which is a shame, because I love Dr Pepper. Maybe I just haven't found a good spirit to complement it.
I honestly couldn't give a shit whether you mix it with pineapple juice. As for me- I'll take mine neat, with a dash of water if it's cask strength stuff.
You're not getting the most out of it by misxing it ith a soft dirnk, for sure, but who the hell cares.
You fucking philistine.
is v nice, think you can only get it from the distillery?
they also let you try some much younger stuff on the tour, completely different taste, obviously
I think you might have reached a low.
and have it with room temperature water. Really good drink (2/3 whiskey, 1/3 water)
Dunno, thats how I was told to drink it by a very drunk man in a bar called sandy bells, and I trust every man in sandy bells whatever the topic
bit medicinal for me, prefer ardbeg
would go well with some vanilla coke. Peaty, vanilla, sweetness.
I get slaughtered by Whisky snobs and by people who don't even drink whisky.
Haters gon' hate! Leave me alone whisky snobs and people who like to jump on bandwagons.
It's one thing to point out that buy adding x, y or z, you're posisbly missing out on some top notes or diluting its depth, to 'slaughter' somebody and be superior about it is really quite gauche and just not cricket.
the most they would let anyone put in the whiskey was LITERALLY two drops of water. everybody stood around watching two drops of water diffuse into a glass of whiskey then pretending they could tell the difference (me included!). it was great fun.
the tone of this post feels confused
(which is about appreciating it in its optimum or purest form) then i htink thta's fair enough. you're not going to be able ot distinguish much between whiskies if it's masked by cherry coke :d
bUT FOR DIRNKING AT HOME OR IN THE PUB- OVER TO YOU MY FRIEND, hAVE IT HOWEVER YOU WANT IT.
and now I'm taking some Cherry Coke in case I get time to visit the distillery. I'll probably just find some in a pub somewhere. I'll report back.
