I've oft wondered about this. Oft. Why do we like winding each other up? What's the incentive?
2. A way of finding something in common (i.e. taking the piss out of each other) because you'd have no other reason to talk - see office culture.
3. because you're a right laugh
it still works.
me and BB....come on, bro.
we'd sit there drinking and stuff, his other mates in tow, and they'd basically disagree with everything I said.
nobody gets that reference, though.
okay, you're a the cocky one in chess club who claims Garry Kasparov is his uncle and undermines everyone else's tactical gambits, despite being a bit ropey at chess himself.
did brightonb come into the dis plug.dj room and say 'i'm so high right now' no he did not
it means that they're not getting the chance to wind you up.
something about not knowing how to add fractions
This is a bit awkward.
he'll do stuff like 'your dog is out in the garden' and i'll be like 'oh is she?' and then I just look out and she's not there and I go 'no she's not' and he'll laugh.
My dad is the worst. He used to throw himself off cliffs/buildings/castles to wind me up and think my daddy had killed himself. He would also open the gates on a ski lift going up the mountain and laugh whilst I cried. I've had a terrible childhood.
I've never been unless it was an indoors one in Leeds where my dad told me to pretend I've skied before and then put me on a ski lift there to the very top them pushed me down and laughed. I almost died.
We DROVE there. I was very sick. It took ages.
folks, this is how it's done. dating CG probably gives you a bit of an advantage in this regard though
And your puppy!
(and your mum, lest she feel left out! Your long-suffering mum :D)
how're you doing, btw?
I think it's to fill the gaping void where my personality should be. 9 times out of 10 I'd rather solidly wind someone up than have an actual conversation. I will always wind up given the chance; popular wind ups include: refuse to provide the right time when asked e.g. say it's 11pm when it's still light outside (so funny when the other person just accepts my answer), telling people that have cooked for me that I'm vegan, telling dog owners that I ate their breed of dog when I was in Korea. Just generally giving false information/duping people I suppose.
I don't care, I like making my own entertainment.
