anyone used these? how was it?
anyone know anywhere in london that's good/good value?
during the heydey of Groupon when there lots of vouchers kicking about. Yeah, it's good...relaxing.
...great way to get over jetlag.
Floatworks near London Bridge/Borough market often does offers:
really feel like it
It sounds great, and I'd like to try it, but that's pretty steep. Looks like the only offer running is 2 for 1, and it has to be two people, you can't be one person and use it twice.
you get a free one on your birthday. ts&cs apply, probably that you have to actually buy one.
i really really feel like it, so i'll pay £45 this time
I've always thought it sounded like something that I'd like to do, but I've never got around to looking into it.
...they are always doing offers to get you back in. I got my first visit as a gift - don't think I would have paid £45 straight up tbf.
There's one in Glasgow for £30 i think.
it was for an hour. i dont think that was nearly long enough for me. i completely failed to switch my mind off. it was really nice, but not worth £45 to me at all. glad i gave it a try though
worst thing is you've got to be so careful not to get the water in your eyes. its so salty and hurts a lot
Prepared myself for the experience by eating some hash beforehand, was nicely & profoundly monged by the time I turned up at the place.
Got undressed, climbed in, my stoned mind was racing in a million different directions and it took me a long, long time to get used to the strangeness of the tank and calm down.
Just as I was starting to really get into it, the most hideous music imagineable started playing, like the worst kind of cheesy New Age dolphin whalesong bullshit that you hear in shops that sell scented candles.
I spent the rest of the time hating the music and feeling totally pissed off, couldn't wait to get out of the tank.
I asked the woman wtf afterwards, and she said the tanks can sometimes freak people out, and they always play music at the 30 minute point of a 1-hour session. If you don't want them to, you have to ask them beforehand. She then directed my attention to a large sign above the counter spelling all this out, which I hadn't noticed.
kinda wanted something odd to happen
had some ok music at the beginning and end, which i think was a good idea
