when it occurred to me that, as much as I despise the Republican party, this probably still isn't representative of most of their supporters. This is really, really bad though, it goes without saying.
but what shocked me was the story about the 'No Indians' advert in the Most Read section on the right.
It sort of demonstrates that GB isn't the only developed nation having problems with racism and biogtry.
side kick are simply too thick to get voted in. I'd rather have Obama than John McCain but I'd rather have two McCain terms than one Romney (if that makes sense? This is a post-pub reply.)
not one of whom was remotely electable. Romney is the closest and he's more or less the Republican version of that guy who ran against George Bush that one time (no, me neither)- the kind of watery stands-for-nothing career politician much of their voting base actively despise. His choice of running mate demonstrates the serious problem the Republican party have: having got into bed with the Tea Party they now have to make nice with fundamentalists who cannot be met halfway on anything and are ridiculously easy targets for the Democrats.
Obama should win with reasonable comfort.
Yeah, I see it.
Also, fact fans, Mitt Romney owns a yacht called Cracker Bay. Cracker Bay! Could he BE any more of a rich white guy?
Couldn't resist the charm of her hanging chads.
It's happened before...
It doesn't sound to me like Obama has nearly as much home support as he has international support from the likes of us. I don't think it looks great for him.
Looking in it must look MENTAL. But, on the inside, people are genuinely scared of the things that make the rest of the world so happy, like social-healthcare, etc etc. I have a friend who GENUINELY said to me that he listens "to Fox News because they're the least biased out there". :D
we were driving in his massive pick-up truck on the way to a football game (I know, Texas, right?) and he changed the channel on his radio to Fox News because "Glenn Beck is coming on and I like what he has to say". :D
besides his election campaign was built on a single promise, which he has failed to deliver on in such a way that any past president would be vilified.
Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan as "thick" is very odd.
but doesn't romney think that same sex marriage is bad? seems pretty thick
he's fucking well cool. i love him.
He just happens to be ignorant and bigoted. As are his supporters, which is the whole problem, as none of them listen to anything he's saying, they just blindly cheer and vote for him as they hate 'socialism'. Obama seems like such an obvious choice to an outsider but sadly parts of the US are just completely oblivious.
