Hey. Good bank holiday? I had a cracker. Thanks. What are you doing this week?
probably spend the week doing that
(My keyboard doesn't seem to have a hash symbol).
When's your move in date?
It's a Mac keyboard, my @ and " are the wrong way round for my liking too.
I move on Sunday. But only really have Tuesday and Thursday night back at home to finish. All my Clothes, knick knacks, CDs, DVDs, books (hundreds and hundreds of books) have been done, only major stuff left is kitchen crap then stuff like electronics which can wait. Then I have to clean everything. Rapidly wishing I hadn't lived by myself for three years, giving me free reign to accumulate all this stuff. It's going to take ages to move, and I'm throwing away what seems like a lot to me.
Boom! Cheers vine. I still struggle with the difference between the shift, alt and apple keys. Not use to macs at all. AT ALL.
Once you go Mac you never go back. Or something
i'm so well read, i've got sooooooo many books, look at all my boooooooooks.
I wish I'd taken pics along the way.
I really do have sooooooo many books.
handball is a pretty tiring sport
lol handling balls etc
Did you leap into the goal area?
think people were all away for bank holiday, or doing the "yeah sounds ok" then not turning up
fun though. we had 2 on 2+keeper and it was fun. i did leap into the goal area a couple of times
but today I'm watching wrassling, hitting the gym, finishing the Neil Gaiman book I started last night (Stardust), and doing a little reading to prepare for uni in September.
There's some silent cinema with live piano in the park next to my house this evening but I'll probably not go to that.
staying there until the weekend
But I did finish Inherent Vice, Peep Show and Diablo 3 on the hardest difficulty setting, so it's not like I didn't achieve anything, eh?
Italian housemate asked how to use a tin opener last night. Gonna start a blog because Im starting to get a bit notagain about telling
But I'll still read it.
Work was a total non event yesterday, but I got to read loads of my new book (The Master and Margarita) which I love.
Have nothing really planned this weekend and the two things I'd like to do (Bowie night at the ICA and DFA at Corsica Studios are both sold out) :(
Final release of tickets go on sale Tuesday 28th August at Midday on Resident Advisor
Times: 10PM - 6AM
Lineup: James Murphy / Hot Chip vs The 2 Bears / Pay Mahoney / Juan Mclean / Sean Brosnan
Hopefully I get one!
I'm probably going to read all the rest of the books this week now.
Hey Friday night was nice, right? Lots of lovely people.
It was good in parts but stressful in other parts. My dog got really ill and had to stay in the vets overnight :(
Friday I did pole dancing (omg almost died from the pain) and then got completely spoilt by bf <3
Saturday we did girly wine drinking in a resturanty place and then shopping and then I went for thai food with bf where a curry blew his socks off.
Then I watched like 9 episodes of Game Of Thrones.
Tonight - W.I. meeting about bikes.
WI meeting about bikes? what the what?
i bought her a hot dog.
Yeah its some meeting about bikes. I'm not sure what but its about cycling/bikey things. I'm looking forward to it. They do a cycling club too but i'm been at weddings for the last few ones which sucks. I hope I can make the september one.
what was up with her.
I like bikes and have nothing further to add (it would be boring if i did)
and it was warm and she was running around with other dogs and got too dehydrated to be able to drink water and hydrate herself. So she had to be put on a drip overnight. Apparently she chewed through it a few times.
I too like bikes. I haven't ridden my bike in AGES. I hope to ride it to work on Thursday and then home on Friday and maybe a ride on Saturday but we are going to Downton Abbey on Sunday and OMG I CANT WAIT. My Matthew Crawley is coming with me <3 and Imma make him dance in the hallway. EEK.
the fact it was because she got too excited. bless her.
i don't know what half of yr post means.
Ended up getting drunk for the first time in aaages on Friday, and Saturday reminded me why I don't drink that much, at my age hangovers aren't much fun.
Sunday went to Wollaton Park (Batman's house in that Dark Knight Rises film) and had booked my gf a segway tour of the grounds as a post dissertation treat. Segways are ace, going back to walking again afterwards was a bit lame. They cost about £5000 new though! Madness!
Cooked fried chicken in the evening, then watched Touch of Cloth and Murder.
Yesterday had a lazy day, managed to play computer games for more than 20 minutes- got into Stalker Call of Pipryat which is pretty good..
good weekend. No energy left. NEed to clean flat.
had Thursday and Friday off as well as the bank holiday so i've been away fro ages.
Went to bexhill, winchelsea, rye and hastings over thursday - sunday.
The new gallery in hastings is really good, nice gary hume exhibition on, i'd recommend it, and the old town is lovely, rye is awesome, winchelsea is very very pretty. The rest of hastings that is not the old town is grim.
yesterday did some cv stuff all day - in a bit of a rut i this job, they went for a friend's birthday drinks, hadn't seen THE GANG for a while, was a bit weird at points, people not on best form, but it was good.
Then I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like an awful failure and couldn't get back to sleep :(
so much snot. cat shat on carpet.stupid cat. blah. decided to play nfl 13 demo last night, despite not having a clue what i was doing, i'm quite good at it.
Friday - Band practice
Saturday - saw the parents who were visiting London
Met some DiSers and sung bombtrack and molly's lips which was a lot of fun.
Monday - slept
off to watch footy later
11 hour shift, but i don't mind.
I can't remember everything from the last 5 days. But it was good, thnaks!
- My new flatmate is called Cherry
- I had injections and am sicking blood
- Saw the smallest snail ever ever
If you press enter, your post will post regardless of whether it is finished or
I've had it before, I didn't die or owt. bd.
keep that blood vomming under control yo
Might go lie under a bus.
Did bits and pieces. Saw some great bands this weekend.
I had to councel Chintz through vomming blood and also getting the wrong bus.
I went to my mums for tea last night. That was nice.
Not sure what I'm doing today other than job hunting. x
You did very well. I am not capable of dealing with these things alone.
Then got up ate junk food an listened to some records with a beer. Feel amazing today, just what I needed.
didn't matter anyway as i worked the entire weekend and last night but then I went out to get drunk to celebrate the end of the Fringe and the end of our broadcast. working today as well, NOOOOOOO.
read that book about K Records at the weekend, wish it was still the 1980s and everything was shit gloomy and cheap so I could open an all ages cultural 'hub'.
worth it. god bless working from home.
finally signing the lease of my new flat tomorrow. then zipping off to newcastle to play a show at the cluny before I can even consider moving into it
Scary and kind of awesome.
Yesterday I was chuck d and flava flav play a tiny wee gig at rough trade east.
I might leave work- is this a bit early to be leaving on my first day? (I've only had two hours sleep.)
