and I didn't find that funny either, so whatever.
Best come-back retort I've ever seen in my life.
Turned it off halfway through.
and I'm yet to laugh at anything
Have you heard Why Bother
Just watching that countdown thinking same thing
I remember when he was a half decent human being.
Ace. Slow burner mind.
Weirdly touching in certain moments, but a billion lightyears away from Scrubs.
I'll admit the stuff with these three characters is the best stuff, the Statham/Joanna stuff gets a bit much.
Joanna vs her office and Statham vs Boyce is solid gold everytime.
3rd series, though..!
3rd series of IT crowd was the best, but I don't remember Black Books ever getting shit.
I was saying that he would be right if he was using the first 2 series as a comparison, but not if he was using the 3rd.
but the 3rd series was a return to form.
IT Crowd has always been really dull.
is it because of the crazy lady + two crazy guys format? beyond that, just no.
IT Crowd is so shit.
And follow a very similar format?
but there is a gulf in quality between the two.
Similar format though yeah.
think it's because with the latter I just keep thinking 'oh it's Bill Bailey; I hope he sings his love song'.
The scene where Statham tries to swarm Joanna's office with flies is possibly one of my favourite TV moments ever.
Loved the way they integrated plot development with the semi-surreal interludes. They also managed to make nearly all the characters in some way sympathetic and all surprisingly well-rounded.
One of the best British comedies of the last ten years.
and was generally pretty watchable.
I've grown to love surreal comedy more over the past couple of years, so I think I'd enjoy it more now than I did when I originally watched it.
Outstanding comic acting, weird script, ever weirder plots, and Doon whateverhernameis naked.
and Olivia Colman.
It's all coming back to me
Go have a wank in the cupboard. Go on, go have a handshandy.
MARTIN'S HAVING A WANK IN THE CUPBOARD!
apart from Mac - he's a cunt. and that those two shitstuffers got Barclay's adverts off the back of it.
I liked the postscripted special even though it was barely comedic at all; it was a genuinely sweet and surreal unspooling of the whole setup and it held closer to poetry than most TV I've seen of late
