ARGH SOUNDS AMAZING
It'll also allow video games to look MUCH better
I'm also glad that they seem to be stopping focus on silly 3D technology
it looks noticably DETAILED AND AMAZING and smooth but when I watch HD things on my 1920x1080 monitor it doesn't look as good? Is it cos of the refresh rate theo?
But also it depends on the source, doesn't it. I've seen SkySports HD looking rough as guts, full of edge enhancement. You probably sit a deal closer to your monitor than to the TV in the pub.
Oh yeah no one. I did laugh when people were watching the 4K YouTube video and claiming it looked really detailed.
and then people will realise there's an outside world
That's pretty interesting that today's HD TVs are only 2megapixels, goes to show how unnecessary digital cameras ever increasing megapixel rates are, unless you blow a picture up to the size of a building
it really does look MUCH better with systems that support it. It makes the standard HD look really really bad.
Or have you just seen some in shops?
It's at some gaming cafe in Brighton
Moving images look quite different to stills and if you blew up a 2MP image on paper to 40" it would look utterly awful.
I don't actually know the science behind this but I'd guess it's to do with how you can fool the naked eye and how printing works, etc.
or does it have central heating?
I have all new technology
you'd have central heating for the central beating
I can't wait.
I can only imagine how bad some of the films from the late 90s and early 00s will look with their CGI blown up. :-/
And think of the old tape-filmed TV shows. They're going to look like Lego.
used to have a big old-fashioned box-style telly, standard.
now got an expensive plasma with SkyHD.
looks the same, man.
nah, hd channels are noticeably higher quality.
hows the hayfever?
the rain helps.
love a bit of rain.
