Dishwasher loading etiquette

drop_b [Edit] [Delete] 5 replies 17:00, 23 August '12

When you load cutlery into a dishwasher do you separate the forks / knives / spoons into their own parts of the cutlery basket? I do, it makes emptying the dishwasher much easier as you simply grab all the forks in one hand and put them into their part of the cutlery drawer with no separation required.

I've lived with a few people who find this behaviour slightly weird and unnecessary but it makes complete sense to me. Maybe it's because I work in IT and like to do things in an efficient manner.

  • I put all the cutlery in one half of the basket.

Gotta leave some space for my mooncup.
