Bit early with this one (leaving to travel to Green Man in a bit) as it starts on Saturday. Meths, ITV4 are showing highlights and as usual, Eurosport have it live.
Sky have a strong line up with bronze medalist in the Olympic TT, Froome leading the team, Team GB's strongest man in the Olympic road race Ian Stannard and Olympic road race silver medalist, Rigoberto Uran Uran alonside Richie Porte, juan Antonio Flecha, Sergio Henao, Danny Pate, ben Swioft and Xabier Zandio. Strong team that one. Rest of the team loneups here: http://www.steephill.tv/vuelta-a-espana/
This year's edition sees the return of Alberto Cheatador to the peloton after his ban for clenbuterol abuse. Other GC contenders include last year's winner jaun Jose Cobo, Joaquin Rodriguez, Robert Gesink, Thomas de Gendt, roman Kreuziger and Igor Anton. Think Froome is in for a great shout of the red jersey tbh.
The route is predominately based in northern Spain with 13 mountain stages and 10 hill or mountain finishes. Expect Rodriguez to exploded up some of these climbs.
AOB (hopefully this takes off like the TdF thread)
