websites like Musicmagpie kinda suck, is there better alternatives?
here's the list:
time is of the essence as I'm moving flat by the end of the month and pretty much want it all gone by then, but despite that even the 'convenience' of that website doesn't seem worth it. There are a couple 2nd hand places in Glasgow though.
if anyone is interested in any of the cds though I'm only looking for a couple quid or can do bundles or whatever, just need to get these moving!
Might be interested in taking a few off your hands if I could pick them up somewhere? Give you a tenner for: Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene, Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam, The National - Alligator, Beirut - The Flying Club Cup, Les Savy Fav - Let’s Stay Friends and Jeniferever - Choose A Bright Morning?
don't have the time
this was c&p'd from that music magpie site!
Loveless + Marry Me if u can post to Norwich for cheap
Unfortunately I've already had my trip to norwich of the summer so I'd be able to deliver them personally, but as things stand I'll send them (check yr PMs)
What's the point?
Just buy a record and claim a free download or download it illegally.
Records are way nicer to hold/look at/play
but yeah that's pretty much why I'm selling mine.
Anything there which has a lowest used price of £5 or above is worth undercutting by a few pence and sticking it on there. Things can sell slowly, but I have got rid of things for over a tenner to some probably fairly thick people. Keep an eye on it as people will then undercut you, and you play cat and mouse for a bit.
The rest shove on Ebay for 99p, make it known you have a load of other stuff for sale in the listing and you'll cut a deal on postage. I found I was sending people 4-5 CDs or more at a time when I sold my collection a while ago, this is stuff that would never shift on their own otherwise. If you think some things are worth more, check completed listings and you can bump the starting price up a tad.
it's ok though I've found a record store nearby that should take anything I don't get to sell.
i'm in the same situation and can't honestly be bothered with the hassle of posting them all away separately... (also trying to get rid of loads of books which is even more annoying)
Mixed up on otago lane is the closest to me and they say on their site that no collection is too big or small, but there is also the oxfam on byres rd, missing at central station, and love music (avalanche) at Queen St!
Even recent, mint condition stuff can only get a couple of quid. Anything old or common, or in any way scratched, you may get 50p store credit tops.
I mean I've only been selling them for a couple quid anyway. Anyway its been going well so far!
OK so I'm moving flat this weekend, so I need to shift as many of these as possible before going to the local secondhand/charity shops, so please let me know preferably by the end of today if there are any other CDs you would like!
THIS REALLY IS THE LAST CHANCE
(and we're moving a couple days later than expected) here are the remaining few CDs which will also go on ebay later. Geez a shout if you want any!
hang them all up inside
go to a pub
try and flog them.
