apparently the ball isn't in play after you take a throw-in until someone touches the ball
somehow didn't know that
If only he'd stayed calm and denied touching it...
you can tell by the motion of it. thank fuck those days are over of Birmingham routinely beating us
Dean Holdsworth in 2001 against Scunthorpe in the cup.
The ball is in play as soon as the throw-in is taken.
well, I suppose everyone laughed when Cabaye and our other new signings said we'd get into Europe at the start of last season so you never know.
Having Shola 'scored at the Camp Nou' Ameobi as our third choice striker might be a little hindrance to this but otherwise I don't see why not. We beat United and Chelsea comprehensively last season and won't have lots of new signings unsettling things and needing time to bed in.
Hammill has been transfer listed and I could still see Jarvis going maybe.
I guess that takes us one step closer to keeping Modric? Or one step closer to accepting a deflated fee for him.
Even the 'no value in the market' thing doesnt fly when im sure we could have done with a player like Cazorla or basically anyone whos been touted. On top of that if all this time and energy has been wasted on making the Van Persie deal happen, a player we dont even need, then i dont even know... I'm sure the team will overperform again this season but the chasing pack have got a lot closer.
I wasn't desperate to sign Lucas tbh. Not the player we need right now, and if he's £35m rated potential, how come he can't get in the Brazil under-23 team?
I actually think RVP is reasonably likely. The other 2 have all but backed out now, and second to Arsenal keeping him, its the most likely outcome.
If we don't complete that deal, I can't see us signing anyone either. Even so, you can bet we'll be feeding the rumour mill for the next couple of days if we're actually going to float on Friday.
Vidic started again vs Barcelona which is a good sign. Pretty much a full team, apart from Michael Keane in and Kagawa on bench.
I've just switched on, Keane isn't in the starting line up after all. It's all lies.
Nicolai Stokholm and Lasse Vibe in, Simons Poulsen and Kjær and Kahlenberg out.
Quite nice how mouthy DW is when you're signing players from him- no need to rely on dodgy SSN reports.
which makes a nice change. Not sure what teams we can ne drawn against in the play-offs tomorrow.
Also, needing Fenerbahce to win so I can win £70, so hopefully that happens.
Probs because you only bid £10m, silly Fergie!
As much as I don't think we need Van Persie, I'm itching to sign anyone at this point, just to shake things up a bit.
Slavomir Peszko from Cologne.
if he really was what was reported in the past then he should have done the honorable thing ages ago.
£36,000 per week right the way through what's been happening to them. What a shit.
and he claims that he offered to settle for something like 40% of the last year of his contract- without claiming back any of the previously unpaid wages.
You know, for balance just in case anyone else reads.
doesn't mean you need to stand up for him
but I'm starting to wonder ...
he'll be referring to you as "pal" by next week
Carroll on the bench.
Quite a good one too. All hail the Rodgerlution.
