my favourite gruds have all perished within a month of eachother. as much as i appreciate that they were bought at the same time and so would've had roughly the same amount of wears, i'm still not happy to see them go.
they were plain black Next boxers bought for Christmas '09. sadly, the '10 and '11 versions just don't hit the same heights. the former have a fabric waist, resulting in too much rollage when exposed to a bit of perspiration, and the latter have an extraordinarily thick (though elastic) waistband that's just slightly uncomfortable.
undeterred, i bought some newuns, but didn't realise they were 'trunks' (the low-hanging, too tight versions of boxers that the gays wear). no-one worth their salt wears baggy boxers, but the little fella and his two pals need room to breathe.
ideally what i want are tight but not too tight, dark boxers, preferably with no opening at the front, even buttoned (walked into an English class in '98 with it all on show), with an elastic, rollage-resistant waistband. not the proper shorts sort, obviously, but the type that lightly cling to yer pins.
i'd ideally like to pay no more than £10 per three pairs.
