Some of her Fallen Princess photos are pretty great, non?
the rapunzel one :(
I think most of the problem is that whether it's a racist stereotype or not, it's a really fucking terrible photo
Yeah that one and the 'Princess and The Pea' one just seem like they're poorly photoshopped.
Shut up meths.
these is wack. like Banksy-wack
and that's being generous
she should learn to Photoshop properly
they just look like poor copy and paste jobs.
i just don't think they are good photos, and as ART pieces they are fairly pathetic, too heavy handed for my tastes. I would have also preferred a more realistic approach to the photographs, they all look highly stylized, I think a more rough and ready approach ( more subtle naturalistic lighting etc) would give the series an element of realism that i think it needs to make its point efficiently.
synthetic or manufactured, if you know what i mean. because of who the characters are?
so it looks more like shit things happening in a film or cartoon rather than characters out in the real world.
but i think that just ends up confused. She's already made the jump into realism by using actual people instead of cartoons, and placing the characters in ------ real world --------- situations. why not got all the way into realism?
like bad things getting into places where you wouldn't expect them. rather than good people going into bad places. idk, it makes more sense to me that way
or they wouldn't be wearing the clothes that they are. you would just be looking at a photo of a pretty woman with no hair and it wouldn't be the same
she should of just kept them in the cartoon worlds they actually exist in then
